Here is a recent interview with Matt where now even he is mentioning the CFP!

I love that 10-2 is now being talked about my others besides me.

If you're a hater, I know this is super cringe, but if it works out, It will be a fantastic season (and I'll be a legend!).

Hey, I really appreciate anyone daring to display an ounce of optimism about the season. It has to feel like a full time job to keep up the display of misery that is on this board. I'm in the "objectively I think this team is better but I have to wait and see and in the meantime there's no point in being a negative hater" group.

Nebraska is going to the Playoffs this year!!!

I can guarantee you if we had a good team the A.D wouldn't have had a press conference solely focused on telling fans that the real "measuring stick" at Nebraska is "revenue". Nor would the AD have said early in the summer that a coach in his 4th year is still struggling with "culture" from four years and 30 million dollars ago. Things were so bad under Frost that an interim coach with a patchwork staff with a penchant for alcoholism and woman beating could do something Rhule could never dream of doing..beating Iowa on the road. Or beating Iowa period.

Times are so bad that when I search for NU, I get Northwestern.

I think we are a year away but I love the optimism! I don’t foresee a CFP year but I think we finally beat 1-2 teams nobody expects us to and look good against Ohio State and Oregon.

I have low standards, I just really want to experience the euphoria of an unexpected win this season! If that doesn't happen this year I might need medicated (a Final Four run by Hoiberg would work also).

Most likely scenario is being bowl eligible and playing at 10AM on a Tuesday in the middle of December.

i said nothing about national championships.. or winning a title..

I said Matt could be successful in spite of himself.. this all hinges on Colandrea and the players for me.. I do think most of the coaching staff sucks, we still have no identity, and their original QB pick was going to be a dud as well.. we lucked out that AC came here, and he's going to make the staff look a lot better than it is.
