Playoff underdog chances

Anybody give Notre Dame or OU a chance this weekend? I think if Irish defense can limit big plays by Clemson and they can dink and dunk some to control clock and neutralize d line they have a shot.

As for OU, Bama basically only gets upset by mobile QBs and Murray is the ultimate mobile qb. I think their defense might be too abysmal to give them much of a shot but I'd give ND about a 35-40% chance and OU around 25%. Curious what others think, potentially 2 very fun games.

People here in Oklahoma are confident. Think they will beat bama. I dont think the Irish have a chance in hell.

Honestly, I don't know if Alabama needs to do anything other than run hand-offs up the middle to win. OU's defense is awful and the Alabama O-line will be juiced up in more than one way, if you get my drift. OU will score but not nearly enough to keep it close. 59-28 $EC. Clemson beats ND unless the loss of that D lineman for Clemson hurts more than I think.

Yep. OU is going to score, but I also see Bama getting a few stops. OU will not get any stops and it will probably be like a 56-38 type game.

Seems like OU beats Alabama every time they get tossed on to the field together. I’ll wing it here and go with the dirt burglars..

They haven’t 3-1-1 OU leads. 1-1-1 in Bowl games..

OU's offense is gonna destroy Bama's D badly and will get some advantageous stops in the process even with a not so good defense as all it takes is a few stops and the Sooner's O taking advantage of those stops. Many think it's hard to believe, but OU wins this one in a track meet. Bama's D while they are good, are not world beaters and the Tide have not one answer for Murray as he's gonna tear them up with both his arm and legs. Murray has the ability to take it to the house from 50 yards out even on Bama's D as Murray has legit home run speed.

Sure as hell would be nice if you were correct.

I would love to see Bama not make the championship game, but OU better play a hell of a game, along with Tua not playing well, for OU to actually win. It could happen though. Any given Saturday...

I can’t say for certain that OU will win but the last time these two played Bama was supposed to destroy OU yet it didn’t happen. I think Bama should win because they have the all around better team IMO but any given saturday...

Duly noted... But this is in the playoffs and OU beat a disappointing Bama Gump team that lost to Auburn and didn’t make the National CCG.the game was in the Fiesta Bowl 2014..
