Playoff Seeding

NCHSAA in their infinite wisdom has decided to seed teams by using MAXPREPS rankings. Problem with this is that they will have to use the rankings from week 11 since the new rankings don't come out till Sunday afternoon and seedings are on Saturday. There are some big games on Friday night that will most likely change the rankings that won't count. If NCHSAA wants to use the true rankings, then they should have required MAXPREPS to come out with new rankings on Saturday morning.
Games on Friday night that will have an impact on the rankings include:
Charlotte Catholic / Marvin Ridge
Mount Tabor / Dudley
Kings Mountain / Crest
West Rowan / Statesville
South Iredell / Carson
E E Smith / Terry Sanford
Havelock / Jacksonville
Cleveland / South Johnston
Northwood / N Durham
Western Alamance / N Guilford

If we have this many in the 3A, then just think how many overall in the other classifications?

Ram, I agree 100%. I just don't want to use them at all, but if we have to then at least have MP come out with new rankings Saturday before the pairings are finalized.

Common sense says they should be updated before committee seeds the teams. BTango would know.
