If the team finishes in the top 3 of the overall conference or has at least a 5-5 record, they get seeded as conference champ. If the top 1a team in a split conference doesn’t meet those two criteria, they still get an automatic playoff berth, but are not seeded as a champion (just seeded by their RPI).

Yeah I think that’s spelled out in 18 b (1) which is at the bottom of what Deana posted but is cut off.

Ok I guess in a split conference it doesn’t matter where you finish to get a berth, but in order to be seeded as a No. 1 seed you have to finish in top 3 or finish .500.

The only question marks are Polk and Bessemer City. They each need one more win to lock in a champion seed.

Should go back to 11 game reg season and 4 rds playoffs with 16 teams east 16 west. Would solve a lot.
