What are the players doing? Guess group strength/conditioning is out. Team meetings out?. Kids even at school? If there even is a season will we be weaker and prepared less than last year? Assume we are not alone.

Think the NCAA needs to :

1. Loosen / or temporarily modify the rules for practicing once the ban is lifted
2. Eliminate dead periods in recruiting...as well as allow players to sign LOI's instead of Verbal (a contract's a contract: best to learn that now)
3. Eliminate official visits ...replace with virtual tours

These are just a few... and I'm sure there will be more.

PS Do you really think life as we knew it will be back to 100% (pro, hs, college ) in Sept.? Seems optimistic. IMO If nothing else, the teams might get tested once, go on lock down for two weeks and then tested again. If no issues....games can be played....in front of TV but no fans.

Kids are not at school, colleges across the country are cleaned out. Everyone will be affected. Communication, workouts and such are being done virtually. My guess is they're being given guidance on what they can do to workout alone, what their diet should be, etc. And I'm sure the coaching staff is doing their best to keep the kids' heads on straight during this crisis.

Where exactly do you think they are working out? Besides running, I would imagine 95% of the team do not have weights at their houses

I agree - probably at best they are doing plyometrics or whatever else the training staff can come up with. Maybe they're lucky and have friends close by who have weights. Who knows.

I think there is going to be a separation after this.

"Rich kids" and/or high profile athletes will have access/means to buy higher level home equipment and hire/work with real coaches - even over Zoom/Skype.

Most other kids as said - alot of running, agility, low level strength training with stuff around the house. But they aren't going to have the ability to do heavy lifts and build or keep the necessary football strength.

This is big business . College coaches are not gonna just let these kids disappear . They are gonna get specific workout plans and playbook study. Coaches will know who prepared and who didn’t .

Most if not all are now home now. A lot have been working out on their own and some with private trainers that still have sessions. Weaker? No, just less prepared imo. It’s the same everywhere.

I'm sure they'll be busy online with academic responsibilities through the end of the term as well.

Yoga/flexibility would probably help many athletes if they worked it into their schedule during this down time. Might reduce injuries though no guarantee.
