I'm wondering if he is a backup plan for Will Nixon, who has a Baylor visit scheduled in January? But I could see taking both too, we need more skill talent bad, big or small.
Our national championships came with the itty-bitty committee. Frost remembers this. A no-brainer...
I’d definitely take this young man. And it would suck to have Nixon this long just to see him leave last second because his dad at Baylor looks to be in good shape now compared to before.
manning and betts AND possibly one more tall WR would be a hell of a tall wr class and I think that’s plenty. Still have portal and the goal is to get the best player not the tallest player.
Where did you see Nixon is visiting Baylor? He just said this this week:

It wouldn't have worked out very well. I'm happy with where I'm at, happy to be a Husker and I'm glad everything's gone well for me."

Sorry, think I was wrong on that. I read on another board he was visiting Baylor, but when I look at his profile, it shows a Baylor visit LAST January. Maybe we plan on taking two smallish receivers this year (Nixon and Flemming/Brown).
Not sure that is the best strategy in the Big Ten. Especially since Frost is in love with the swing pass, which requires receivers to be physical blockers on the outside.
I can see taking a smaller guy like Wandale who has elite speed and elusiveness. Brown's 40 time is listed at 4.57 which isn't as fast as you'd hope for a guy his size.

Where are you guys getting this or is the just "look for first sign of negativity" group..doing what they do best. Local unofficial vist and the man is gone. He already left TCU once..players never go back to schools they leave!lol
He didn't want to leave TCU, he had to leave for academic reasons. When he left, the plan was to return to TCU once he got back on track academically. Maybe the plan has changed, but why would he visit there if he didn't have interest in going back?
You have said this at least three times now. What makes you so certain? I have not seen anything like this anywhere else, at least not definitive like you are acting.
everything I've read said he could be back at TCU December of '18 if he wanted to following his transfer to juco.
it is now December of '19, and there has been nothing written on his return for ~15 months.

It all depends on him; he has to have the grades to get back on campus. If not, he will have to spend another year at Kilgore. It’s going to be a December timeline before we know anything on him. As for him coming back to TCU, if the grades are good then I expect him to be back. The Frogs sure could’ve used him as a big outside receiver this fall and as I posted on the board earlier this week; TCU has an outstanding relationship with the Kilgore coaches so that’s a plus. The final thing folks need to understand; Omar did not WANT to leave TCU, he HAD to. That’s the difference people seem to forget about.

I've said it before...IMO the staff blew it big-time early in the cycle going crazy on their supposed evals and throwing out 450 verbal offers.
Other schools were relationship developing with their top tiers and Nebraska was going crazy all over the place...ESPECIALLY at receiver (and there are already over 40 receiver offers out for '21)

He may be right... doesn't have the same qualifying requirements returning as a student to TCU that he would have going elsewhere
so they can’t offer a bunch of kids AND develop relationships with their top tier?
I said in another thread...well I think get what he meant by his tweet now. He said “This is Hard” or he said “This is a hard choice”...can’t remember which right off the bat. He’s apparently torn between Huskers and TCU and trying to decide which way to go. Assuming grades are in line. But Huskers are definitely in on him...have been for months now. He’s been caught and seen wearing Husker gear and Husker wrist bands during his JUCO games.
Kind of hard to make the kid feel wanted and develop a special bond when you are throwing out offers all over the place
Oh, and I am a retired VP of North American Sales so I know a little about relationship development, travel and remote salesmanship
What a bunch of nonsense. You really think recruits care how many offers a school sends out? We have landed recruits like Corcoran, Gray, Hutmacher because of relationships. We have managed good classes with very few decomits, despite losing seasons, because of relationships.
Your opinion...and I specifically mentioned WR...call it nonsense if you wish but class is sitting at 14 commits with a class that is supposed to be around 25, struggling to get more, throwing out additional late offers to numerous low ranked or virtually unknown players and several that are being banked on are qualifying risks such as Fleming and Manning and even Betts isn't a guarantee
Right now we are sitting with Nixon as the sole "guarantee" at WR

You guys kill me with your knowledge of HS gpa’s and act scores. Do you guys work the clearinghouse? Not going well? I would even challenge “not going well” we could have 24 commits right now but we are waiting on some elite level talent. Rivals 250 players, HS all Americans.
Give me 10 elite and/or Rivals 250 members we are waiting on to fill this class.

Dakota Allen of Texas Tech went back. Manning’s college coach did not rule out him going back to TCU although it’s unlikely. With him waiting until February this could get interesting. I wish we took the approach of either **** or get off the pot.
We have approx 70-80 more than Rutgers and Purdue and over a 100 more than other B1G schools...just in conference
The only school I've found so far that has more would be Tennessee at over 480, Louisville has approximately a similar number to Nebraska
