The most overrated phenomenon in sports. I've been in a couple. If a team is together, they can marginally and temporarily reinforce that but probably not enough to affect the outcome of a game. If the team is divided, they usually do more harm than good.
Oh god, get one of those and you know things aren't going well. One of the most overrated sport cliche things.
Real squads in any sport keep away from the "players only" meetings stuff. It's been a failure since hickory.

Good grief. ..the ol players only meeting...it's like coach speak but for players. It's dumb, overused and more than likely accomplishes nothing. It shouldn't take a players only meeting to get players to play, if coaches can't get them to do it the players who aren't doing it aren't going to be able to get one another to do it! The 'players only meeting' is as worn out as the celebrity checking into rehab for whatever slur or comment they've made.

Lol, you all think they haven't had several meetings by now? Don't they spend most of every day together? You guys think they haven't talked or made promises to each other? It doesn't have to be formal and it doesn't have to make the ESPN top ten but I guarantee these kids have all sat down and hashed it out.
