I was just wondering if anyone else thinks the way the NCAA allowed us to choose our game suspensions have affected our team attitude and performance?
I actually feel it has had a major affect. When the penalties were announced I had concerns because then we have coaches trying to explain a narrative every game. So you have guys that will play 8 games likely but when a coach feels a game is more winnable, he is pulled. It would be have to be frustrating for a player who has done it the right way be pulled for a few who were selfish and put their teammates in a bad position.
I honestly think team morale would of been better if they were suspended the first 8 games period. Continuity might be better and to be honest I don’t think we should reward players for being dishonest like the suspended ones have been. Hell they are lucky to be in school still and I hate we have discussions on boards and tv trying to figure out the best time to use these players. Kinda sad they are made to be held more relevant than the guys who have done it right.
