Just got a little bit more interesting. Pitts signing of Jeffress today gives Pitt the #13th ranked class this yr. There will be at least 6 new players and 4 of them will be 6’7 to 6’10. Pitt has played a couple decent games against WVU the last two yrs but couldn’t handle WVU down low. It’s always better when both teams are top 25. Just watched the 2010 triple overtime game when both teams were top 10ish. I forgot how good Butler was that night.

It always seems that recruiting victories are where Pitt fans go when talking sports with WVU fans. If you cannot beat them on the floor, I imagine that is all you have. I do agree it adds something to the game when we beat a ranked Pitt team.

Darth is right Allen. This kid had Stanford and Vandy in his final group. He is literally 16 yrs old and reclassified to this yr. as a 16 yr old Jr he already has college credits. If he stayed for his Sr yr at Erie McDowell he would have been a top 35 player. That was his rank for his class before he reclassified. I actually only posted the thread to let the site know even though the games have been competitive a couple of yrs from now the series has a chance to be a Top 20 game. This probably is still a rebuilding yr so the game probably won’t be National but Pitt is moving in the right direction to make the series relevant again.
You have the thinnest skin. And yes there is a difference in these programs. That aside Pitt is getting better which I am happy about. Pitt got two 4 star big guys this year as did WVU since Bridges red shirted. Hopefully it will be a top 20 match up in the near future.

I guess he played some last year. He is different than the prototypical Lake Travis QB IMO.
Closer to what Garrett Gilbert was. More of a potential pocket passer than Dual Threat.
Reason they didn't finish that well.
All about his decision making skills and ability to go through the progressions.
Hank Carter is usually pretty good at developing this.

BTW your little google search failed you. He actually did great haha. The 1st team kid going to Texas actually got hurt. The kid played well filling in and went 6-0. The starter came back in for the playoff game and lost. Yarnell was 6-0 haha. Pitt got fortunate to land the kid and hopefully he sticks. Utah, Okie St and Colorado came in late but apparently he wants to play for Whipple. Heard Big Ben helped out here.

Penn St is in on the WR now. No knowledge of how strong his verbal is to WVU or isn’t just saying Penn St probably doesn’t give him a take offer if he wasn’t talking to them. The OL kid at his school is going to Pitt. That’s how I know.
