45 fouls called in the game last night. When you average more than 1 foul per minute of play there is an issue. It's brutal to watch. I think TV helps mask it a bit since you have replays and other things to take your mind off of just how bad the flow is, but being at the Rupp last night it was brutal. Something really needs to be done about it but the NCAA will never step up to make the changes necessary to get consistency.

Oh the AMOUNT of fouls? Absolutely. The SEC is atrocious and even the commentators said what I've been seeing for years: The more fouls you call, the more the flow stops and it lets teams get set up in their offense. That is a detriment to Kentucky 1. because our sets aren't great to begin with and 2. it prevents us from using our athleticism to win games. If we had the fouls called like the Big10 does, you'd see Kentucky run a lot more teams out of the gym.

I think what some mean is that there was indeed a discrepancy but it should have been more of a descrepancy.

I don't think last night was a good example on bad officiating for UK, but lord knows there's half a dozen examples every year.

We got a lot of their guys in foul trouble, they finished with more fouls than us.. however, we WERE home, and Tony Greene definitely made it known he was going to 1. make a show of it and 2. show his disdain for UK. Still, despite Sarr fouling out and some bad calls on us, I would take last night's officiating every single day.

There are games were we can barely put 5 guys on the court because of foul trouble, where we have almost doulbe the fouls as the other team, and games where they can hang all over our bigs and hack and grab for no calls. THOSE are the problem games.

Seems like this is the situation every time we play UNC.

Really like Pippens game. Wish we had offered.
We couldn't recruit Pippen. He was only a 3 star. Half the posters on this site have told you over and over that 3 stars can't play. You know players like Pippen, Kispert, the guy from Iowa, the one that couldn't play for Kentucky, because he runs funny.
