I really like this kid. Not just an athlete, seems to have a lot of skill to his game.

Solid build too, especially for his age.

Usually those super long, crazy athletic kids are built like monk. Or they're built like Poythress and haven't developed their skill set yet.

Rare combo to get it all in one package at age 17. And he's just scratching the surface. I love getting guys who make giant leaps like he has.

Sharpe took his first official visit to Kentucky in June, and, so far, that’s the only such trip he’s taken in his recruitment. He took an unofficial visit to Arizona, where he plays his high school ball, later that month. Even before the Kentucky trip, there was considerable talk in recruiting circles that the Wildcats would be the team to beat for Sharpe’s commitment.

And those hands. Love seeing a ball player with big hands.

I think if we put the right pieces around him he can lead us to a FF/title. I really believe he’s THAT good of a talent. He’s Monk on steroids. He’s also a much more consistent shooter and not streaky.

We’ve been in a really good spot with this kid for awhile. I’ve always thought he just feels like a Kentucky guy. Always have thought we are getting him.

The biggest thing with Sharpe that is positive is that Cal took his recruitment personally after the offer. He's been on him that long. Throw in the positives their camp spoke on SGA's development and respect they had for Kentucky ignoring the hype (Quade Green) and moving to play the better player and letting him showcase his talent-SGA is about to become $$$$$$GA with next contract.

The way recruiting is trending, it seems like we're in good shape with a guy like him at virtually every spot.

If the NIL can kill some of that G League momentum and our targets actually play college basketball, plus maybe keep a player or two and add a transfer for experience and depth, we're gonna be a title favorite.

Long way to go, but we're taking the steps to get there.

What I like about Sharpe is that he has the skill set to do everything well. Beautiful perimeter shot, score inside the lane, score in transition, play sound defense, rebound a little. Perfect for Calipari's approach to basketball. Would like to see him commit to us.

Our track record with Canadian guards is pretty good under Cal.

This kid may be better than either Murray or SGA. And that’s saying something.

What do Murray's and SGA's careers have to do with Sharpe's? Calipari has a good track record with guards from everywhere.
