I got there at the start of the 2nd half, GSB was up over 20 to start the half.

Mulcahy very smooth, great vision, true PG. He got MVP, like 17 points, 7 assists, a bunch of rebounds. Hit his FTs. Just a great passer.

Why did Paul get a Technical Foul? Please report on PM's performance Sleeping Giant.
If you watch some of his highlight films, he seems to have a little bit of Grayson Allen in him...I hope I'm wrong about this observation

Nothing wrong with a guy that plays with an edge and gets under the opponent's skin. Obviously Allen plays dirty sometimes, and J.P. Macura (on Xavier) does some of the same stuff and that's unacceptable but Eugene on our team has this trait a little bit and I love it.

Perfect timing.

Was there today. Mulcahy is a tremendous talent. Amazing that at 6'6", and he is every bit of that, he was the quickest player on the floor. Daevon Robinson came out to cover him on the wing a couple of times and he blew by him like he was standing in cement. A little out of control at times but an absolutely great passer. He did whatever he wanted today whenever he wanted. He could be the best PG in the Big 10 by the end of his sophomore year. I have to say though I was slightly disappointed in Harper. Didn't play that hard and I wonder about his on ball defense in the Big 10. Just another note - as Daevon Robinson came out to warm up he looked up into the stands. He saw me pointing to the R on my hat and just smiled.

I see some of the same fire when I look at Peter Kiss’s highlights from Quinnipiac. We don’t what Grayson Allen’s unsportsmanlike conduct, but his real fire and ultra-competitiveness is a good thing. It’s a fine line.

Yes, went up into the bleachers and congratulated him for yesterday and told him how I thought they played with tremendous heart and intensity. Also told him it was the most exciting game I've seen at the RAC in years.

RUChow, just curious what you mean by "years"? I was at the 'Nova game in Feb '11 where RU came from way behind and J-Mitch won it on a, count 'em, FOUR point play and the Double OT game vs. Florida in Dec '11 when Eli Carter had 31. 'Nova was ranked #9 and Billy Donovan's Gators were ranked number 10. I was not at yesterday's game. I understand yest was vs. an archrival.

Not denigrating your statement to Coach just curious if you were at either of those games and if so, your thoughts?

A little bit of Grayson Allen in him?!? That sounds like a good thing to me. He’s been t’d up a few times, but let’s not overblow things. He’s the reason why Duke won their title in 2015. I’ll take him

I was there as well today. Mulcahy played outstanding. He really can pass the ball. He got a T after he was called for a charge. I think he just said something after the call and the official nailed him. It was a mistake but he wants to win and works hard. Gill St. Bernard led by 22 or 23 over Shawnee and won by abou 15. Linden beat Bergen Catholic 50-44 and Tavon Jones got the MVP with 15 points. In the final game Don Bosco beat Newark east Side by about 6 or 7 points. Marcellus Earlington got the MVP for Don Bosco and scored 35 points. Ron Harper had about 23 and he made 5 threes. They both are very good. Mater Dei defeated St. Mary's of Elizabeth by one on a shot at the buzzer that everyone I spoke to thought was after the buzzer. The refs just immediately ran off the court. I think St. Mary's got robbed. All 8 of the teams that participated are in the Top 20 of the Star Ledger. It was a great day of high school basketball.

Don’t folllow recruiting but judging by this thread I am guessing muclahy is white since he’s being compared to Grayson Allen. Funny how people compare skill sets of players and it’s always to the same race usually.

Hard to ignore. It's kinda how i think if youre a football recruit and you play a skill position like wr or db youre often either overlooked or if you make it youre described as "scrappy" "gritty" "tough", theyll always act surprised haha

I also thanked Pikiell for the wonders he has done with the team. He is always so nice. He wanted to know how my health is now and we talked for quite a while. He is just so happy that the team continues to improve. He also watched Ron Harper for three quarters before leaving for a taping of the Bruce Beck Show. Brandon Knight also watched the games today. He is a great guy as well.

I was there for the last two games last night as we are playing Union Catholic tomorrow . They lost to Rutgers Prep in s great comeback last night . Before that I caught most of Hudson Catholic blowing out Pope John like they were a CYO team . If you get a chance , check them out . They have a bunch of men out there and it’s really not even fair . Lewis King is a man amongst boys . I know we had no chance at any of their players but trust me they are fun to watch .

Well luther muhammad is actually a man haha, hes like 25 years old. Im exaggerating but he "redshirted" in middle school. And jahvon quinerly is ABSURD. I ran pick up with them at open gym in JC last year because I play in a league with a hudson catholic assistant and ive run with d1 dudes before and you notice the difference, theyre just so much better than everyone else. But jahvon was like nothing ive ever seen kid is dumb quick, its freaky. Hes got one and done potential if he gets his shot consistent.

Don't compare Mulcahy to Ted Cruz.
