Agree. Those 2 and Broome are the only 3 we are going after that I'm excited about.Illinois seems to have the most buzz for Shannon right now though.I still don't understand why Cal isn't going after Pack the point guard from Kansas State.

If you could have 2 transfers that we are currently targeting, who would it be? (Going with the assumption that Oscar comes back). My two are Terrence Shannon (great defense and solid 3pt shooter) and Antonio Reeves (another great 3 pt shooter).
Give me a 6’3ā€+ PG who shoots 35%+ from 3 and can guard positions 1-3. And a 6’5ā€ SG who shoots 38%+ from 3 and can get to the rim off the bounce.

Not sure if they’re out there but that’s what we need.

Exact same. Shannon and Reeves would be nice pickups. Antonio Reeves can ball out.

Oquendo would certainly good in the right situation. I want Broome also if we're taking more than 2.

Shannon taking over for Sharpe and Reeves for TyTy would be ideal. And we're involved with both. Unfortunately so are a lot of other schools.

I don't think we add another 4/5 type if Oscar comes back. The staff is probably keeping any potential 4/5 guys on the backburner until word comes back on Oscar's status.

I know people have been shitting on Omier but I think he'd be a solid addition. We lacked physicality aside from Oscar, and Omier had some monster rebounding games last year. I'm a big Toppin fan and I'd like to see him add some more muscle in the offseason and run away with the PF job, but we need another forward who's a reliable rebounder. But I'm assuming Oscar comes back, so we can afford to be picky. Guards/wings are a much bigger priority.

Doesn't make any difference if they are great shooters. By the time Calipari gets through wrecking their confidence they wouldn't be able to throw the ball in the ocean if they were standing on the beach. Just ask Kellan Grady & Davion Mintz....... The way that Calipari turns shooters into brick layers. Our best hope is to get as many great rebounders as we can to grab a bunch of offensive rebounds & put the ball back in the basket, you know your best offense is an offensive rebound. So give me.

1. - Norchad Omier & his 12.2 rebounds a game as the Sunbelt player of the year.

And if he would put his name back in the transfer portal like he did last year.

2. - Kofi Cockburn & his 10.6 rebounds a game & his All-American resume.

Add these 2 bruisers along with Oscar Tshiebwe then let Cal's brick layers miss all they want these 3 would clean up all their missed shots.

Posts like this are just silly.
I get the frustration and pessimism, but I don't know why some even bother posting or following the team if they're going to be negative about literally everything.
Why waste your time if you've resigned yourself to the belief that nothing our current coach does will possibly work?
If you're not going to be happy until Cal is gone you might as well take a break and do something else with your time, as the reality is, he's going to be the coach here for at least another season or two given his buyout and the long leash his past accomplishments have afforded him.

Now feel free to label me as a "sunshine pumper" or something along those lines, as no one on the internet these days seems to grasp the concept of "nuance".

Kellan hurt his shoulder late in the season. Actually he didn't hurt it, some oaf SEC player tackled
him and hurt it. Don't remember which team we were playing but I saw Kellan holding his shoulder
after the hit. It was at Rupp.
The next game I noticed Kellan had cupping marks on his shoulder, indicating on going (medieval)
treatment for pain. At least that's what I thought.
Just some observations, I could be wrong.

Shannon is a proven high major player. Don’t know much about Reeves, except he is a mid-major scoring machine. I’d take Shannon now for sure. Reeves is a maybe. Broome, if he is willing to backup Tshiebwe, I would add.

But I think Cal has to be patient. I think someone else will enter the portal that might be better than Reeves. Just a feeling, I could be wrong.

Reeves at the very least can be some form or Grady or mintz to where he can get you 10-15 points most nights which I would take, Shannon jr should be the priority but him and Wallace would be a really good perimeter defense

I like Reeves and Shannon. But you have to remember that Cal tends to stick with 6-7 players and tends to "forget" about the bench. With Oscar coming back (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!@!) along with Reeves and Shannon, and the other players, we could have a great team. Substitutions throughout the game could wear the other teams down...similar to the platoon year. But Cal has to DEVELOP and USE the bench, which, IMO, he has not done these past few years. Isn't that why teams have so many scholarships available...to be able to use more than the starting five?

GO CATS!!!
