As we look ahead to improved special teams play, the calf wrestling rancher Sanford dominated the offseason testing ranks and also reportedly had a sack, an INT and fumble recovery for TD in one of the scrimmages this fall.
That’s the Nebraska way, and I look forward to seeing him go full missle down the field on coverage units.

Is he even on the travel roster?
No, but that doesn't really matter. He commandeered a black stallion from a friendly rancher outside of Waverly and rode it all the way to Champaign. Only made one brief stop in Rock Island for an iced coffee. Actually beat the team there and took the liberty of repainting the visitor's locker room red and white.

I heard that the man he "commandeered" the stallion from was Chuck Norris

Dude's a damn stud. He might weasel his way into some playing time this year, and push for a starting or limited package role next year if they struggle to fill Domann's shoes with Wright or Gifford.

It was fun watching him in the spring game for sure. The kid is not afraid to lay it all out there. Seems to have pretty good instincts too.

Great athlete, average football player
Great athlete. Still to be determined what kind of football player he will end up being at NU. It kind of sucks that the travel roster is so limited in the B1G. It kind of puts a traveling team at a competitive disadvantage in that they have to make decisions to leave guys at home who would normally suit and play at home.

I’m assuming he’d make the cut. 74 spots gives a full 3 deep at each position plus additional 8 randoms for specialists etc.
They could afford to skimp on the 3 deep at a couple spots for extra room also (e.g. take 13 OL instead of 15, 8 DL instead of 9).

He was on the 2020 Ohio St. travel roster

The word "great" is overused. If this kid is great, what superlative is left?

He is an excellent athlete, no doubt, but I am not sure he qualified as great.
