With UK having Dillingham and Sheppard and looking like the favorite for Wagner and maybe even a reclass Jackson the guard spots are looking good. Edwards is likely committing to UK Monday unless he's playing everybody so he's our SF. Look to be in good shape with Kingsley and possibly Bradshaw too at the 5. But who is currently being recruited at the PF position besides Booker and possibly Holland but he's more of a SF. Transfer portal or a new recruit comes on strong? Gotta think Toppin and Collins will go after this year. Maybe Cal plays 3 guards and Edwards plays a little stretch 4? A senior Toppin or junior Collins would be outstanding with that group but probably not happening. Still a long long way to go.

Forgetting Edward as a lean as well. I’d say Holland or a transfer big are most likely options. Slight chance Livingston or Collins are back and able to handle the 4 spot. Think there’s a zero percent chance Toppin comes back again

Talk about a greedy fan. Are there any other top players you think Cal needs to get while he’s getting all of these other guys?

Yeah I would take him as well but I still prefer some excpierence at least at just 1 out of our 5 positions on the floor
I think you really, really need that college experience and maturity at the perimeter shooting spots.

Does Toppin even have any eligibility after this year?

At one point I would have said KJ Evans but that time has passed. I believe he’s about to commit to west coast, either Oregon or Arizona.

PF could be a transfer who knows . I think we will need to add a solid grad transfer at some position

Typically I'd agree but Holland brings so much energy to the game I'd take him in a heartbeat.
I don’t mind going mostly Freshman again as long as their that caliber of player, our best teams have had the best freshman.

Pretty much everyone does who played in 2021. That year really didn’t count, was bonus time, the way I understand it. So everyone still has that extra year of eligibility.

We’re out on KJ Evans. Not entirely sure why he included us in his final “list;” I’m sure a UK hat on the table will look very nice for the public.

Outside chance—still a lot of optimism from others—with Ron Holland, but I think by the time he makes a decision, we could be a little “full” in terms of roster space and that could easily persuade him elsewhere. And, I think it will be difficult in general to get him away from Texas or Arkansas if he opts for the college route. G-League looming, as well. But, it would be nice to have him.

The Bradshaw recruitment is interesting; I know Cal wants him, but if Aaron and his family drag this on too long, then I could see the staff quickly moving on and dropping him. This could give us some more options with the 4/5, depending on how they wanted to structure the roster.

We should have enough coming back next year in the front court, and the transfer portal will provide quality options to mitigate the loss.
