Could be an interesting choice being that they have a former 5 star from Clemson that came in. Also is an interesting matchup. When we play NW they always seem to get after us with a QB run.

If they brought in a grad transfer, then they aren't sold on Hunter Johnson, I have to believe Ramsey will be the starter, barring injury
Could be. I have no idea on NW football and their roster. It's just an interesting change for me.
They were looking at the grad transfer from USC as well. Of course NW fired their OC/QB coach after the season too, so maybe Johnson, or TJ Green or one of the other 4 QBs on their roster will improve. I just believe if you are going to grad transfer, you aren't going anywhere where don't have a 99% chance of starting.
Probably a valid point, and I'm now educated on the NW QB situation. Thank you for that Tuco. I learned something today.
I'm guessing they aren't that sold on Hunter Johnson, after all he was beat out by a walk-on (Green) last year.Could be an interesting choice being that they have a former 5 star from Clemson that came in. I don't like mixing your oc and qb coach, then also having to call plays, too much on the plate imo.Mick McCall was fired. He was there for 8 seasons. He was the OC and the QB coach, so while the passing game was decent with Thorson under center, the running game was not. The offense in general last year was horrible.
He was replaced by Mike Bajakian, who was the OC at Boston College for 1 season. Before that he was the QB coach for the Tampa Bay Bucs for 4 years. Prior to that he was the OC/QB coach at Tennessee, Cincinnati and Central Michigan with Butch Jones.

I like this staffs setup, oc in the booth, instant self scouting,as SF calls the plays, while Verdu watches only the qb, watching what he should be seeing and doing real time.
Looking at the first two years, it looks like a positive change. Recruiting should be better as well, even though some said we finished with the third best wr room.Unique situation because the HC calls the offensive plays. If it was more traditional and the OC called the plays we would be in a similar situation with the OC/WR coach. Tough to call plays and coach a position for sure.
