Can Jamal Peters play? He's got about 1-2" and 40lbs or so on Lamar.
Wouldn't even have to change up their stuff much, just turn a couple letters around.

Peters played well last night for most of his playing time. He had 2 bad possessions back to back. I swear he saw he was about to get substituted for and said let me get my shots before I go to the bench.

We need him if we want to even sniff the tourney. As the season progresses - he will play more and Carter will play less.

Our offense runs better with him on the court. Yes, he does make some bad plays and shots, but he is getting better.

I know it is frustrating right now for fans but if he can work out of this we might see the tourney.

Nick Weatherspoon is playing amazing for a freshman.

My only problem with him is shot selection.

He made some great plays off the dribble.....and we need this aspect of his game, but the lazy passes and hurried shots in critical situations are tough to stomach.

If he'll allow Howland to coach him, he'll be a difference maker for us.

Lamar has another level that we’ve seen glimpses of where he’s an elite level point guard. The kid has an enormous amount of talent. Just needs that one really good game to get him going.

No better time to do it than in Oxford on Saturday.

Bench Ado for FT shooting while you're at it!

That is all.

Seriously, Peters provided some great minutes last night but made a few bad shots. So did everyone else. Watching Ado shoot free throws was painful. If he can start hitting shots from that distance he will become a serious offensive threat.

Agree 100%. Imagine if Lamar was just playing to the level he did last year, nevermind improving off last year. He has elite quickness and ball handling and great court vision. You don't shoot it as well from 3 as he did last year then forget how to shoot. The poor kid is just totally out of it mentally. If he isn't already, he needs to be talking to a sports psychologist or counselor because more than hurting the team, he's on a path to waste his opportunity at the NBA because he can't get out of his own head.

Meanwhile we need him to play the way he's capable to take the next step. I almost wonder if you just start him and MAKE him do it like Mullen did Fitz after the South Alabama game last year. To do that though he has to have a good attitude and I'm not sure he's in that place right now.

For sure, but he is his own worst enemy.

If you are good at assisting, you actually get more open looks.
