I came into the season thinking he could be a nice corner 3 guy which is something we could clearly use right now. He has a nice looking shot and I was hoping he could develop that into a nice 36%+ type of game.

I am not saying that he is that player but I am a little surprised that his minutes have dried up to where he is now.

Kiss and Tauren Thompson last seen together riding into the proverbial sunset. TT also gets his own thread post games as well as a guessing game as to when he might get a minute.

Posted in another thread, Kiss logged 8 minutes vs Niagara and 6 minutes vs. St. Bonaventure game this season. When Kiss subbed in 11:49, RU was down 9-15 (-6), and subbed out 5:15 left, they were down 15-34 (-19), hasn't played a minute since. My guess is the answer is during the first half of that game.

While I agree there are 10 players more deserving if playing time I’m not going to blame st Bonnie game on Kiss. I believe there were 4 other players on court with him.

Why would you think he could be a nice corner 3 guy? Develop that into a nice 36%+ type of game?

In his two full seasons he has never made better than 30.2 percent of his three-point attempts and this season the three-point line is further away from the basket.

I installed a phone system when Peter Criss bought a house years ago over by Wall township. I didn't know who he was when he came to the door early in the morning, he was a skinny little old guy standing there in his white bath robe, but when I seen the old corvette with California plates in the garage I knew he was somebody, the girl he was with,wife? I don't know but she was way younger and kind of let on who he was.

Note to RUinFla - the SH Board has the same thread problem with one of our players not getting PT after every game. Not fair to the player and no reason to keep harping on it. Said so there and my post here was not aimed in a derogatory manner towards one of RUs players. I take it you hate SH, which is your prerogative. I don't hate RU, but I do "hate" losing to RU. I even came here and congratulated RU for their win. There are many great posters here and some not so great, but that's my opinion. Oh, I have the same opinion about the posters on the SH Board.

This is the type of daydreaming that can only happen if you pay no attention to a player’s actual game or stats. You should treat the cold splash of reality that his lack of playing has been for you as a learning experience.

I was thinking that if he wasn't getting into games even at the end of blowouts, that possibly the team was allowing him to retain another year of eligibility to play somewhere else. Not sure if there is a minimum games in basketball that you can play similar to football without losing the year.

This is the only debate....if it is debatable. Still not 100% of rules/options.

and I think anyone who is a Rutgers fan has to wonder why a Rutgers scholarship player has disappeared from the rotation on a team he played with the past 2 years...

He would have played if he was eligible the year he sat out. He played some last year and now
he has obviously been recruited over. He hasn’t improved since his freshman year after a big buildup while others have and better players have come in. Simple as that. Sh*t happens and the kid is getting a free ride. I wish him well but nothing we’ve seen this year suggests he should be on the court more than he is.

Is this really that difficult to figure out? Playing at this level is about winning and a coach will put in the guys he thinks give him the best chance within his system and roster. This is not Rec. Basketball where everyone has to rotate in.

As Coach Pike says... He plays the best and is fair to the rest. Pike is being paid to Win and the fans want to see Rutgers get into to the post season ... don't care about equal playing time.
Kiss got recruited over. This happens on all teams. The reality is he wasn't a P5 player. You guys do remember Souf Mensah right? he was not a P5 player either so he transferred out.
This topic is so old... time to move on.
