Saw on Gene's Page where Pernell McPhee is a "soft verbal". Anybody have any info on that?

he just said your spot is not guaranteed if you visit elsewhere. That's far different from yanking an offer.

He said if a player is still taking visits, his spot is no longer safe. The offer is still there, but the longer you jerk us around, the more likely we fill your spot.

In other words, if you're shopping around, then so are we. I think it's actually pretty smart. There's no reason to commit to a player fully who isn't fully committed to us.

Supposedly he's only taking the trip because he can. Kind of the same reason Montrell Conner visited Oregon. At least that's what the sheep are bleating.
