On his 15 yard penalty, he left his feet before the QB was out of bounds. And even when he hit him it was a glancing blow and on his arm. If it's not a QB I wonder if they call that?
I think that was flagged in part because there was a late hit on the other sideline a few plays earlier that caused the USA bench to have a meltdown. The one that got flagged was borderline - not the worst call ever, but I feel like it was influenced by the no-call.

It was a ******** call. I think the QB's foot maybe touched the sideline a millisecond before he was hit. How is a defender supposed to pull up from that? You can't just let the guy go past you, because then he stays in bounds and gets more yardage.

But quarterbacks are untouchable, and they're overly cautious about how players are getting hit, so I wasn't surprised.

I think most on here are true fans...they just exhibit their support in different ways when the team looks like crap. Respect all

USA probably has the best defense Nebraska will see in the non conference schedule and Martinez played his worst game as a Husker. Don't be over dramatic.

I will say I’m pretty sure South Alabama had been practicing just Nebraska since last winter conditioning. I was flabbergasted as why Adrian was so tentative almost looked unsure of himself, the high center snaps were brutal killed the timing of the play. I thought the coaches did a terrible job of getting plays in, the up tempo, it looked hit and miss. I was really disappointed that they had the small package in at the goal right before the end of the first half, why not two tight ends, we keep hearing there height is a matchup nightmare

I also think Frost was intentionally trying to work on some of our weaknesses, especially the first half. Trying to get the oline to be physical. Trying to get Mills and Wandale div 1 game rep experience. Then the second half just turned into a weird cluster and the offense couldn’t break out of its funk. Still a lot to fix. But week 1 isn’t the time to panic when it comes to the offense. Too much proven talent to believe it can’t right the ship quickly at this point.

it ok to complain about the offense but as long as we get a, win.
I wouldn't complain a lot...Im just wondering if everything was being held back for colorado? south alabama's qb seemed to throw the ball with a decent touch.

Martinez looks slower than last year. Injury? He looked off all day, a lot of it was horrible line play and no open receivers.

There seemed to be a lack of energy today. If it wasn't for the defense and the punt return, could have ended up as a loss.

Was pleasantly surprised by the defense. I saw overall improvement and the turnovers were huge. I hope Pickering's injury isn't serious. We will need him, because it appears the margin for error is a lot slimmer than many of us believe.

I'm not sure what's more concerning right now: The lack of energy, The Oline or how poor Martinez was today.
Yeah pretty much agree with this. maybe we just need to wake up because this was truly horrible. Very disappointed in Martinez, Mills line and Frost.

I'm hoping that the old cliche of a team improving the most from game 1 to 2, holds true. This team scored 2 offensive TD against a very marginal defense, at best. And, at home, no less. The sky isn't falling yet. However, they looked like the team from last season's first half. The Online should have been mauling people today.

as I understand, it was very limited playbook, center injury limited his snaps/ like pitch count so pulled in the 3rd, plus he's new to this also only like 18 snaps offensively in the 2nd half I think radio said - it could be much worse, remember? or better yet just check up on TN, FLA St, Purdue

I feel like we will have a very good idea what this team is all about after Colorado.
