The risk we ran going 34-0 was that anything other than 40-0 was gonna suck as bad as anything ever. 40-0 would have been an all time accomplishment. Big risk, big reward but just being in that position is something no other program can get to.

Kentucky basketball is the gold standard. Calipari is the best coach in the game today.

The Cats had a bad night against a good team.

That's it,..that's all.

Next year will be another chase for the trophy,...and the year after, ect. Some years we'll win it, some years we won't.

This has been a fantastic year.

KY's last great run was in the 90's. It took 18 years to win a title after 78. 5 FF during that time with 2 titles. Titles won with veteran talented players. Took another 13 years to get back into the FF after 98. 14 years to win the next title. Since 2010, 4 FF in 5 years 1 title.

The reality is that it is very hard to win a title. The reality is that the WI's of the world have not won anything in a very long time and after this year probably won't again anytime soon. The reality is KY will reload and remain the best basketball program of all time.

I think I can live just fine with that reality.
