Have there been any test done or an MRI yet?

Where are you guys hearing that he's done for the year?

I've seen reports on Twitter that it is a MCL tear. Not good, but better than ACL.

A torn MCL doesn't even necessarily mean he's gone for the year, depending on how badly it's torn. Recovery anywhere from 1-8 weeks usually. An MCL and only a MCL(no ACL or patellar tendon) is pretty close to best case scenario in terms of a knee tear IMO....

We'll see.

I'm very concerned. This is why it is so difficult to beat Bama in November. Difference in depth exacerbated by injuries. For each injury that State and Bama suffer, the talent gap gets bigger. Saban knows this. That's why he advocated for requiring a Power 5 nonconference game (that he was already playing) and is now advocating for adding a ninth conference game. He knows these additional physical games mean increased injuries for all teams (including Bama), but this plays to his advantage: talent depth.

that's what I thought when they showed the replay of the way the bottom half of his leg bent at a weird angle when he slid down. looked more like something from an mcl than an acl tear. that hurts our depth if he is out for this next stretch starting SEC play.
