The whole NIL is retarded. I don’t want Kentucky paying ridiculous money for some dude to play a game for 5 months. It’s just not worth it. Don’t need to get into a bidding war with anyone.

Plenty of speculation. But that's it. Nobody knows for sure what's being paid. We'll all find out together what we end up with.

That’s right. I never pay much attention to the money speculation. I’m more worried about winning ball games than anything. I do worry about Pope having trouble recruiting but I’m more worried about them finding the right guys than being the first to sign some of them. Popes first season had guys that fit his system much better than last season.

He’s done anyhow. Even if we get all three I do not think the analytics and rotations Pope uses gets us past the S16 (maybe E8 if the players take over). Wanted it to work out for him (for our sake), but he’s just not UK MBB HC material.

Good thing Is with the portal the coach we hire after next season can get things turned around quickly with the bankroll we have.

How bad does it have to get before the people who fund our basketball program step up and say enough is enough. Its Time NOW to stop the hemorrhaging, we may not be able to save our Basketball Program if we wait much longer. MITCH BARNHART needs to be taken to task for what he's done to our Program.

Idk why people would spend a penny on UK basketball until a change is made.

I think people need to understand how much agents are using UK to up the asking price for others. Say you are offered 1.5M from your school, you ask for 2M and they balk. You go to the Transfer Portal say the asking price is 2.5M, UK comes in and says we can make 2.5M work. You take that offer to the previous school and you get 2.25M. It's not rocket science what is being done here. The problem is UK doesn't seem to understand that they are constantly being played. UK continues to take the negotiations in good faith, they are not.

You're not wrong, but nobody is able to hold anyone accountable right now. There are no rules, no regulations, no fairness in the system. This isn't just UK this is happening to. It's widespread. We have to recruit the best players even if they are using us for a raise.

I wouldn’t be surprised given how many coaches have feigned interest in us for a raise every time we’ve had an opening since Hall retired.

It seems really bad right now like UK is completely undesirable to recruits.

I have my doubts.
