Their record may be "bad" by PSU standards, but their losses:

Oregon 30-24
UCLA 42-37
Ohio State 38-14
Northwestern 22-21
Iowa 25-24
Indiana 27-24

Their freshman QB- 19/28 for 145 yards against Ohio State; 22/31 for 219 yards against Indiana; 11/12 for 181 yards against Nebraska
Kaytron Allen has rushed for 1,077 yards and 5.7 yards per carry. He is tied for lead in B1G with 15 touchdowns
Their defense is 7th in B1G, behind Washington, Iowa, Oregon, Indian and Ohio State.

Way optimistic....I'm afraid PSU will come out with their hair on fire in front of 10 to 20 K of their fans. We will come out as usual....afraid to make a mistake. 42-12 The bad guys.
I never concede defeat until the score gets out of hand nor do I celebrate a win until it's obvious beyond a reasonable doubt
Going into games I look for reasons to win and this Nit one holds plenty of incentives for both sides.
I just feel home cooking gives the edge to Rutgers .
I expect a charged up rambunctious Rutgers crowd to quiet down the Nit hoard that infests the Shi while the Rutgers team hold the Nits down, silencing the Penn State fanbase that came to see them.

With the way this season has gone, that score indicates that RU scored 38 first half points then hung on for dear life. Hopefully, it doesn't come down to icing the kicker.

I know this is our best chance to beat them in a decade. A win would be pure joy, but I feel a heartbreaker coming our way. I'm setting expectations accordingly.

When making game predictions, I go with what the mind thinks over what the heart wants. It would be a big win for RU but I don’t think it’s a good matchup. They have the better players up front on both sides of the ball, they can run the ball well and the backup QB is playing better. Their defense is talented. Our defense is still giving up 6.6 yds/carry - not good:

PSU: 28
RU: 17

PSU will lean heavily on their run game, win the time of possession but limit the scoring a bit. PSU 28 RU 13.

Just heard Greg's presser... "Goals are over rated" wow. Now there's a guy managing expectations.

He went from "we're gonna win championships" to that.

The old : lull them into a false sense of security so they are not as careful as they should be.
Then go after your goal, Victory at last

PSU goes up 13-3 at the half and Greg decides it is best to slow the game down with brilliant runs up the middle and a handful of short passes to the TE's.
This works well enough that we hold PSU to only 27 points in the 2nd half and have a really hard fought 40-10 game. Greg is very proud of the way the team played.

Some people are eternal optimists or are just not paying attention. Score? I have no idea, just hope it won't be too embarrassing. The second half will be worse than the first.

Just a PSA

If you're basing your prediction on last weeks psu vs Nebby game, don't. Nebraska is God Awful and currently getting curb stomped by Iowa 40-16 and Nebby looks hapless.

Enormous opportunity but in essence PSU is just too big and talented up front on both sides of the ball.

The betting line opened at PSU -10.5 and it has gone to PSU -14.5 . That’s a lot of movement, it seems many think this will be lopsided.
