Interesting post on the Iowa board by a poster who seems pretty knowledgeable and rational over the years. The question was asked about Buchanan returning next year. The response said that was a possibility as well as Parco and Teemer.

This is interesting since for two of them (Buchanan and Parco), this is the sixth year since they started wrestling and for Teemer this is the 7th year. So for next year, Buchanan and Parco get seven years eligibility and Teemer gets eight? Even with Covid, this seems a bit much.

I have never seen anyone like Mitch. Not even Jason Nolf had the pace and attack rate of Mitchell. DeSanto had the pace but not the attack rate against top guys. I could 100% see him teching every single guy this season.
I dunno, David Taylor in his early years could have challenged Mitchell in attack rate.

Now, most rational Penn State fans know that Steveson is the favorite and very well will win. If and when he does, expect the Iowa fan base to take a victory lap as if he were theirs.

David Taylor's international record is more impressive than is Cael's. International wrestlers don't know who Cael is. Somehow, they must believe this will translate into Okie State overtaking Penn State. What that has to do with success at Iowa even if were to happen is...? That seems like a very serious bout of coping.

I don't know where else to post this question so I'm doing so here.

Why did so many PSU wrestlers suffer facial injuries (poked eyes, bloody noses and eyebrows) during last night's match-up vs Iowa?

Is that normal? I don't recall any Iowa wrestlers suffering similar cuts.

Iowa is a dirty program. They have historically had a number of their wrestlers guilty of this practice.

Because they were constantly moving forward. It’s an Iowa trademark to counter that forward movement.
