Someone please correct me, but it appears SVN is mastering getting legs in for a BAA from standing.....on the way down. Its like he hits the mat and the other guy is incapacitated from the waist down.

Levi is the best at this, hands down. And not just in the past 4 years.

For him, hooking the bottom leg is part of the takedown finish. It's like the freestyle guys who incorporate the leg lace setup as part of their finish.

Frank Molinaro was the first guy I can remember under Cael.

There is a great photo of him smiling while getting back points agains Dylan Ness with the bow and arrow. I was going to post it but for some reason I couldn't find it on the internet anymore?

Frank never used the bow and arrow. He turked a lot. But he never grabbed the ankle.

I disagree. Cael preaches fearless wrestling. He tells guys to give up takedowns. Part of the process. At tOSU Rocco was SO defensive. I think Cael rubbing off on him and he letting it fly which is gonna leave you out of position at times but wrestling this way lets you learn.

if this were a close match against a top guy, Rocco can defend with the best of them.

personally I like when we give up TDs at this point of season.

I noticed the same.

Some of the guys shave their legs before matches (Marcus). I believe I have seen in past matches PJ doesn't and his legs are hairy.

Just speculation, but maybe the hair provides enough friction and added grip to help pull in a leg, or it gets ripped out when someone is trying to do the same. If the leggings are the right material, might it help on both fronts???

Was Zain the first PSU guy to really use the bow and arrow? For me he is the guy I associate it with and the first I remember seeing someone focus on it.

In the 2015 dual against Pitt, McIntosh pinned Bonaccorsi with the bow-and-arrow. That's the 1st I recall under Cael.
