Did you sleep thru the sec tournament? We were clicking at every position during our run. Not overly concerned. Monk just needs to find his shot again.
I feel the exact same way. They need to start playing on all cylinders. This team to me has zero chemistry and it shows. They had long enough to figure it out, but have not.
Outscored in the 2nd half by a near Div II team. Going to be a short tourny, folks. I hope our fans don't freak out. We'll probably lose badly, too. This team just doesn't have it.

The defense is so uneven. I think the trifecta of Fox, Monk, and Bam may very well be the worst defensive trio I have ever seen at UK. My all time UK matador team.

If UK goes home early, the “Supreme Lords” of the world come out and tell us, “I told you so.”
If UK makes a run like they did in ’11 and ’14 (when the same type of bullshite definitive narratives were in play), those same fans declare, “Well, I’ll gladly eat crow now!” during the Final Four, only to gripe again about Cal’s lack of overall titles if UK doesn’t finish the job.
So, in recap: UK has no chance with the current roster; until they prove such sentiment wrong with a run; but if they don’t finish the job in the Final Four its Cal’s fault anyway because he should have won it all with a team that initially didn’t really have a realistic chance to win it all.

It feels like some of you guys have been watching a completely different team than I have. How the hell are you in a steep decline after you've won 12 in a row? That is so, so dumb. The Cats could for sure lose any game left but at least give them credit for an outstanding season up to this point.
Some of you guys and girls need to find a little perspective, it will help you enjoy this team. I know some people are just negative in general so that's the only thing that sticks out to them but for gods sake lighten up and enjoy some big blue basketball.
This is the best time of the year to be a UK fan and win or lose it will be over in a flash. It will be a completely new team next year so this is the last opportunity to watch excellent players like Monk, Fox, Bam etc in a UK uniform. Don't take it for granted.
We may lose to WSU but we also may win the whole damn thing. Take a deep breath and cheer for em, they may surprise you.

Gosh i hope not, lost two OOC games and beat UNC in December....that peak to me was a speed bump. Yesterday was looking ahead to WSU...tomorrow will be different
This team in December had zero defense and zero half court offense. We had NKU locked down for 35 minutes... It happens. Countless final four teams have had bad games before. Keep the faith chicken littles!
You're right. Plus I think that early in the year sheer athleticism trumps lesser competition. But as the years goes on, and the number of practices mount....a coaches effort (Cal) to mold individual players/parts into a cohesive team has something to do with it as well. Players start to think more and just react less. So then there's a period of time where things at time just aren't quite jelled yet. It all comes together depending on the team. Some sooner, some later. That's why I would love it if we had the opportunity to see what we'd be like if some of these players would stay more than a year or two. We've been good to great almost every year...we'd be awesome if Cal had more than a year with them. Much like '12 and '15, some very good Sophs (Jr and Seniors too) who had been in the system, to go along with the Frosh.
If we just start hitting open 3s, especially Willis and Monk we would look unbeatable. Odds say we are due to get on a hot streak with our shooting from deep.
well......I think its reasonable to think our offense has gone downhill since December. I also think it's reasonable to think our defense has gotten better.
