I saw he was at a press conf. Was wondering if he would be wearing husker gear or UCF gear. (UCF) Technically he doesn't work for UCF any more. Who is even paying him, hope not Neb. It is what it is… It’s weird, it’s awkward, but it’s also what Frost wanted. And he was in a position to have his demand met. Time to just let go of this. Frost is going to be our coach for a long time to come.

This is not just good to get Neb exposure nationally but also for two other reasons. One, there will be lots of kids in the South watching this game because Auburn is in it. They get to know Frost & what his offense is all about. Also, it's great for Frost & staff to get exposure to a top notch defensive front that may alter or reinforce how they recruit going forward. This Auburn front 7 is highly talented & all of them may be in NFL one day. In first matchup against UGA they held Chubb & Michel to just 67 yds rushing (or something like that). It will be a really good test to see how Frost's offense stands up to a faster & more physical D front.

It's the best option. Nothing but good karma can come from deciding to coach the bowl. Leaving those kids high and dry contradicts everything Frost has stood for and he would be slaughtered in the media behind it. By coaching the game parents, recruits and media will see he's a man of his word this builds trust

We have no idea what the arrangements"really" are. Would be nice IF since we agreed Coach Frost to do the bowl game that UCF buyout could have been negotiated down. Would have been a nice gesture. I m ok with it either way. Don't think there are really any financial implications because we have to fulfill our our contract obligation

I don't believe coaching in the bowl game hurts Nebraska's recruiting. I think it is possible it may help recruiting this year (guys making decisions in Jan/Feb) and down the road. I think coaching his (former) team in the bowl could also improve the trust factor his new players have with this staff. I think as Moos said Nebraska will get good PR leading up to and during the game, whereas if Frost weren't coaching it, Nebraska wouldn't get mentioned during bowl season at all. And finally, while there is a chance a blowout loss could make this staff look bad in the eyes of future recruits, I think a respectable loss or a win could be to our advantage. Whether we pay the staff's salaries for a couple weeks to work for UCF, I don't care about and I heard UCF is giving us token compensation. So all things considered, even though this is unusual and maybe a little awkward, I don't see a downside to it and see many upsides.

Aurbun is as big and physical as any B1G team so if they can shut down UCF then there will be those NU fans wondering if the Frost Model will work here. If UCF runs wild and scores a bunch of points on Auburn then the NU fans will smile and say, “We can’t wait!” It will be an eye opener either way!

I think Auburn is about the worst match-up UCF could get. Unless Auburn sleepwalks through it, I expect it'll be ugly.

Thus the issue with these bowl games. Too many distractions & competing motives for both sides. They will likely be a shell of their regular season selves.

Will be very interesting to see how it plays out. Auburn was thinking playoffs and national championship before the SEC championship... will be hard to get them to be all in for the peach bowl against a much smaller school from weaker conference. Also lots of guys thinking NFL.. not the peach bowl.

At the same time, the UCF guys might not be on their game with their coaches being 99% out the door. Coaches could be pulled in multiple ways too. Definitely the most interesting bowl game of the season

Recruiting on the weekend until recruiting dead period starts, then it's almost all bowl prep.

He was at UCF for practice, 30 minute press conference, flew to Calif., recruited, flew back over night. He is back at UCF.
