I don't believe coaching in the bowl game hurts Nebraska's recruiting. I think it is possible it may help recruiting this year (guys making decisions in Jan/Feb) and down the road. I think coaching his (former) team in the bowl could also improve the trust factor his new players have with this staff. I think as Moos said Nebraska will get good PR leading up to and during the game, whereas if Frost weren't coaching it, Nebraska wouldn't get mentioned during bowl season at all. And finally, while there is a chance a blowout loss could make this staff look bad in the eyes of future recruits, I think a respectable loss or a win could be to our advantage. Whether we pay the staff's salaries for a couple weeks to work for UCF, I don't care about and I heard UCF is giving us token compensation. So all things considered, even though this is unusual and maybe a little awkward, I don't see a downside to it and see many upsides.
