It’s not dangerous for the vast majority of people.

Masks or proof of injection is a total joke.

If people want to go get jabbed a dozen times like a pin cushion let them go for it.
Same goes for masks, no one will ask fans to remove them while entering the arena.

Other peoples injection history has no effect on others.

Bad food poisoning from the hot dogs is a greater health concern at The RAC.
my point was, that blanket statements that it is over are just not true

The pandemic has been over for a long time.

The virus hasn’t been eradicated

Just like other viruses, bacteria and fungi infections that people still get sick and possibly die from.
I don't want to quibble about the definition of a pandemic

all I can tell you that the virus is still around, many are still getting it....call that what you will

Serious Question. I got the vaccine but no boosters and not planning on it. I was very angry that my son was forced to get the booster as a Rutgers student.

Is the rutgers Rac policy ok with just my original shot or are they also forcing the booster on fans?

seems like this thread only is implying the answer you want.
So again I will advise:
If someone needs to know policies
[email protected]
call 866-445-GORU (4678) during office hours, 9AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday to speak with a Rutgers representative. Thank you

As of now just the original

Truthfully it would be embarrassing for Holloway if he doesnt lift this vax mandate

When I went to the basketball games the vaccine card checker just looked at the front of my card, which showed only one shot, and let me in. The other shots were on the back of the card
This happened every game
So, in reality, just seeing the one shot is what was accepted at the door, but it might not be the actual policy of the school

You have a right to be enraged.

From my own personal experience, more people that I know got sick from the virus over the last 45 days than at any other time
That is why a blanket statement that the whole thing is over rings false from my view
Better to say that it could be winding down statistically but still very possible to contract it,and I know this to be true

Next step - You should run out and get all six some boosters. As many as possible. Especially if there are any healthy children under the age of 17 in the mix. Request additional boosters for the kids . As many as possible.

I am not defending the use of vaccine boosters at all here

Everyone please forgive me in advance for this post being long.

I've received the two original Covid vaccines and one booster... Wife is a nurse, and tested positive for Covid twice previously, and I was never infected during her two bouts of infection despite caring for her when she was sick. Then, in July of this year, I finally felt confident enough to stop wearing a mask in indoor public places like supermarkets and other stores for the first time, and 2 weeks later I had the worst cough I've ever had, with severe, brutal, unrelenting coughing that caused severe lung pain and a complete lack of sleep for about 3 days, and fatigue. Seriously, I couldn't go 5 minutes in a 24 hour day without serious hacking to the point of gagging... I initially thought is was severe allergies, but it was Omicron Covid. Wife tested positive 2 days after I tested positive, but she only had a mild fever, sneezing, runny nose, and fatigue. Both of us were Covid negative a week later, with much improved symptoms if any were still present, but it took about 3 weeks before the pain in my sternum and chest was gone from the severe coughing... Based on the severity of my initial symptoms I can certainly see how a vulnerable individual, and/or a person with pre-existing conditions, could still have very severe consequences from contracting Covid now, and how it might still be a good idea to try to protect them from contracting the infection.

The basketball season hasn't started yet, so Covid protocols at indoor venues may change before the season starts, but I'm curious to know which other universities still have indoor event protocols that include proof of vaccine or proof of negative PCR test like RU still does at this time.... It will be interesting to see. There have to be others besides RU.... I'll post what I find out, if anyone doesn't already have that information and can post it.

Anyone taking more jabs at this point deserves the blood clots and heart trouble they are going to have.

Just my opinion Cali, but it just seems that no medically informed individual, or individual without a political agenda that supersedes logic, medical science, and open mindedness, could make that statement in good faith....

You obviously have the right to avoid vaccines and boosters yourself, but to try to scare others out of getting future booster shots by using incomplete or inaccurate facts (others who may be more vulnerable and whose lives may be saved by getting new boosters that may protect them against Omicron or future variants) just doesn't seem right.. Like I said, just my opinion.

and anyone not making sure they and loved ones are protected as much as recommended deserves anything they get.
But I hope they stay lucky because I'll never wish Covid-19 and what it can do ( worst case senior) on anyone even those who feel those protecting themselves deserve the rare side effects that can happen.

People are still catching the virus and some are dying from it.
No one should blame others for trying to stay safe , or wish the worst on them for trying .
Nor should anyone hope those mocking others because they are getting shots when they become available catch the virus and consider it: instant karma got ya.
