Thank you blion, good insight given by Keith about the 92&94 teams, B1G vs PENN STATE, the strength coaches, the poaching of our players by the B1G schools, mentioning that after a decade of our administration sticking their heads in the sand, looks like we have new AD that is finally confronting the B1G concerning PSU issues.

Yeah like being down 21-0. Put together consecutive long drives in the rain with the season on the line in the 4th quarter. Not a big Brent Musberger fan but loved his comment at the end of the game that he just saw the best team in the country.

I remember that from the ABC broadcast. Jack Arute reported it from the field early in the game. Arute said the team ate pizza for breakfast in the hallway outside the hotel rooms, which had emergency lighting.

Not a big Brent Musberger fan but loved his comment at the end of the game that he just saw the best team in the country.

Musberger was usually paired with Vermeil and the two of them were solid gold in the booth. Musberger was given to overstatement (as so many announcers are) but that day he was spot on.

That drive that won the game is the stuff of legends.

Yet remarkably it wasn't enough for them to reclaim the #1 spot that they had lost the week before because of the "close win" at Indiana. To this day that is still unbelievable.
