That's probably not tobacco. How much money is Vandy going to have to come up with to keep him?

I’d guess Vandy is going all in on footbll, which everybody in the sec seems to be doing. I can’t think of a program that won’t be better next year other than ole miss and Missouri.

I heard they had one or two.

It really is going to be interesting to see if schools like Vandy go all in. They have as much money as anybody and are located in a great city. If they want to they could become one of the big boys

Then why have they never done it? It's not as easy as you think.

And don't say it's the moral aspect of NIL, nobody has ever cared about that. Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt....those are schools that I highly doubt will ever prioritize athletics over academics, when it comes to donations and flat out paying players.

They have more than any SEC school outside of Texas.

They did, 100 years ago. They haven’t cared to since then.

I just said it would be interesting. You may be right. If you are that will also be interesting.

I don't know if they have a fan base. I do remember they had an Alumni give 100K plus money to a high school coach back in the 90's just to get a kid to visit Bama. I think that guy eventually committed suicide.

This coaching staff with portal additions should win between 3 and 5 games, 3 being the floor and a ceiling of 5 wins. That’s an improvement over 2-10.

Arkansas, Auburn will be better. Kentucky will probably be better. I think Ole Miss and Missouri take a step back with Dart and Cook leaving plus several other key players.
