Really? Can you tell me exactly where you heard that from? I mean, Pat's a pretty smart guy and did his homework before he came to Pitt, what is it about the ACC he doesn't want any part of?
I'm not confident on Rene at all coming to Pitt. He likes Rutgers and he may still end up there. Campbell and Morgan and Johnson may be different. We'll see.

So Pat left MSU to coach at Pitt knowing there was no "network" for the ACC, and in your opinion "no respect" for the ACC, and took the job anyway? And then after one year decides he wants out cause the B1G has a network? Um, ok.

Final comment/follow up on what has been a lively recruiting discussion and Pat Narduzzi coaching Pitt.
As I have speculated in this thread, last night Pat Narduzzi's contract as the head coach of Pitt has been extended until 2021. Speculation he will be making between $3.0 and $3.5 million per year with increases for his staff. Financial details are not provided so those numbers are just speculation.
The contract extension comes on the heels of a big recruiting weekend and I think our new chancellor and AD want the recruits to know that Pat is totally supported by the Pitt Administration and will be the Head Coach at the University of Pittsburgh for many years to come.
I think Pat Narduzzi is a good game day coach and is going to be a great recruiter for Pitt (evidence by February).
As an aside, B Mendenhall just signed a 5 year contract to coach at UVA for $3.5 million per year.

If you were ready to play for Flood and Rossi how could you not want to play for a coach that runs a championship defense and defensive secondary is his specialty?
Narduzzi did not reach out to Rutgers. This is a complete lie. This isn't my opinion or a guess. You guys are very gullible. I'm not belittling Rutgers, I'm just telling you that this rumor was used as negative recruiting. It is absolutely, 100% false. Narduzzi contacted Rutgers that is definite! Of course he won't tell the Pitt AD that or his coaches......
Pitt is a midway stop on to something bigger and better. Their last two coaches have proven that. And yes, Narduzzi wanted to move into the big leagues. Good for Pitt that Ash was more highly regarded.

I just look on recruits like that as having a heavy favorite, but not totally convinced it's
where he wants to go.
But all verbals aren't the final act and all schools must hope the commits , whether they stopped visiting other schools or not, keeps their pledge and signs on the dotted line LOI Day.
I'm not worried, think Patrice will sign on the dotted line and become a Scarlet Knight
