Was it Galvan back in the day that Cawood asked if he could hold up the start of the game for a couple minutes. As UK radio was still on a commercial break.
Galvan says sure if you say something nice about me on the air.
Cawood said throw the damn ball up and tip it off.

They weren't ejected for trying to shake hands. It's obvious he ejected them because they didn't...

I remember Paul. Wasn't a big fan of his. And it seems like he called every other UK game.
Ironically, Paul Galvan was my ex-wife's principal in HS here in Fort Worth. She said that after running into him one day she remarked that her husband was a UK graduate. Said he laughed and made a remark that "I really got under their skin". Tell me that college officiating isn't corrupt.

As I recall you are correct. Hated to see Galvan out there during our games.

He's an icon down here in Fort Worth. He retired years ago and ended up being the Athletic Director for the Fort Worth Independent School District. People down here think he can do no wrong. Guess they never saw him officiate.

I don't think there is any coincidence that Higgins was the official in those 3 years. I am just shocked the NCAA didn't have him in our championship game in 2012. He seems to favor Kansas and would definitely have given them the edge needed to secure the win.
Correction he favors any team not Kentucky!

Here is the video of it. Looks like Hurley definitely was trying to come in and shake and Haith wanted nothing to do with that.

I don't doubt for a second that he said that. Not surprised at all.

IIRC, Paul was only like 5'-6" or something. He was dwarfed by Bowie, Turpin and others.

Yes, he was very short and always had that '70's hairdo going on.

Took less than 10 minutes for Adams to piss Gregg Marshall off today
