All I heard about during the off-season was how deep this team was and how great of a shooting team it was. So my question is, with 10 or 11 capable players, why does Cal insist on slowing the game down to a half court/grind it out style? Also, why does he want to narrow the rotation to 7 when our depth is our biggest strength?

Not sure he insist on playing one way or the other. He lets the other team dictate the tempo and has his entire tenure here. Can only assume it is part of his arrogance in that he thinks he will beat you however you want to play. Not working out so well with teams that have a pulse and Notre Dames pulse was pretty faint.

If/when Sharpe arrives I tend to agree with this as you could have:

TyTy-Sharpe-Grady-Brooks-Oscar with Wheeler-Mintz-Allen-Hopkins-Collins off the bench. That is a pretty athletic bunch overall that could press and run and gun.

But we won’t press or run and gun.

More talent benefits from more possessions. Not sure why no one at UK understands this

Sharpe is a HS kid. Goodness gracious, please get a clue. You think he’s going to be a difference maker in the SEC? How many times will you allow yourself to get burned???
