Going to bring up something that has been a Nebraska problem since TO and the Bob Father. Junior high level pass routes for the wide receivers.
Just once, once I'd like to see a 7 yard slant to Wandell with him going full speed when he catches the pass. Seems like our passes are to receivers standing still so they are either easily coverd or get blown up as soon as they catch it.
Now maybe the problem is we can't hit receivers who are standing still, but if a QB cannot hit a moving receiver he should not be playing D-1 ball. Watch receivers running patterns against us, they are downfield in the middle of the field and usually open because they are moving.
Plenty of blame to go around for as bad as the team looked yesterday but college level pass routes with the young receives we have might be a good place to start the turnaround.
