Parking on Collegview/12

Noticed both at the Egg Bowl and the basketball game tonight that they aren’t allowing parking on the side of the road/exit of Collegeview and Hwy 12. Has this been the case for awhile? Not sure why they would do ghat..

This is the first year. I park and tailgate in the Palmero Center lot and this is the first season they have done that and nobody that I have asked has known the reason.

Hmmm. They can ill afford to lose parking around that area once baseball season starts up.

Because they couldn’t make money off highway right of way parking. Cohen wants ALL parking to be revenue producing. They used the “safety” issue for eliminating parking on the on/off ramps, but I haven’t heard of anyone getting injured because people were shrewd enough to get there early enough to get free parking close to campus.

This sucks. the right of way in that area is hard and mostly gravel.

FYI, Hwy 12 right-of-way is controlled my MDOT not MSU. This includes the on and off ramp. College View is on campus until the overpass. The University just spent a ton of money adding sidewalks and they don't want people parking on it.

Good gosh! I guess I am going to have to put these**** on every post I make from now on.

I know State has no control over the State ROW. But don’t ever think they don’t have influence. There was nothing wrong with parking on the on and off ramps from 12 to and from College View, Except it allowed for free parking.
