Parking for Purdue?

Heading out to Purdue next week...anyone been previously and able to recommend where to park for the game? Looks like I can pre-buy for Lot CC which is about a 20 minute walk to the stadium. Or I can take a chance in the University garage but Id hate to sit in traffic just to exit the garage.

Anyone else who's going know what you're doing yet?

tons of parking options in the parking decks and some of the streets around little street. I usually park near mccutcheon in the deck and walk down. it's an easy walk and out of the way so no car traffic when you leave. that's where I'm parking for the game

When my son went there a few years ago we used to park either at his fraternity (ZBT) or one of the houses nearby. It was either $10 or $20. If you get there early you should be able to find a spot. Even if you have to park in Grant Street Garage it's not a bad walk to the stadium.

kind of amazing given how they fill the stadium. I've no issues yet with parking in any game I went to. I am more impressed with seeing so many families, so much buy in and no Rif Raf at all. They do a nice job of letting everyone know what programs are elite, ranked, notables with ties to the school, the band plays, everyone gets into and none of the 'I'm at a club' feeling with the ridiculous music.

quite impressed with it all. Hell, last weekend, Mung was out there on the jumbo tron talking things up and giving out awards and what not.

Is Purdue more of a pregame bar scene or pregame tailgating scene? My buddies and I were planning on finding a bar or two before the game, but we have recently decided to rent a car so we can go to the Notre Dame and Robert Morris hockey game the night before, so tailgating is an option now.

When I was there for 12 noon kickoffs it was a mix of bars and tailgates. Students and some alums hit Neon Cactus (huge piano bar and a lot of fun) and Harry's Chocolate Shop (Purdue's original bar). Harry's will definitely have a line to get in as it is smaller and closer to campus. There will be plenty of tailgates as well.

Been to 3 so far and 2 more on deck and each one had 60K plus and this was last year and this year where they sucked so can only imagine. I'm most impressed with how familial it is. I have never seen people wearing shirts that say Rutgers Aunt, Rutgers Uncle, Future Rutgers Grandpa etc etc. I"ve not seen that at any stadium I've ever been too, not a one! a lot of families seemingly at every game like it's THE event.
