Hermitage won a wild game against top-seeded Douglas Freeman to keep the Panthers' hopes alive for a second-straight regional berth. Luke Nigro was 3-for-5 with a homer, while Tyler Bailey also went 3-for-5 to lead Hermitage. Freeman's Cole Hawkins paced the Rebels with 4 RBI on a 2-for-3 night that included a homer.
Freeman led 3-0 going into the fourth before the Panthers exploded for 11 runs over the next three innings, aided by seven Rebel errors. However, Freeman closed to within one after a seven-run sixth inning. The Panthers (12-9) added an insurance run in the seventh and closed it out to advance to the Colonial finals for the second year in a row. Freeman is now 19-2 and will advance to the regional tournament as the Colonial District regular-season champion.

In the second game, Aaron McGarity starred both at the plate and on the mound to propel Godwin past a tough Patrick Henry team 5-4. McGarity struck out 16 batters in getting a complete-game victory. He also hit a two-run homer and had an RBI double to lead the Eagle offensive attack. He also got several of those strikeouts to end innings with PH threatening.
On the Patrick Henry side, Chesdin Harrington's single put PH up 1-0 early, but that was the last time the Patriots (who finished 14-7) would lead. Down 5-2, Patrick Henry rallied thanks to a Brandon Lloyd RBI single that wound up scoring a second run on an error. In the end, Godwin (specifically, McGarity) had enough ability to wriggle out of tight spots to come up with the victory.
