You were not being sarcastic. People joking don't use phrases like "that is disgusting". That is typical liberal wow just wow drivel-speak.

I was referring to my comment about a suit and Bible.

And, yes I am quite sure that no conservative has ever used the phrase "that is disgusting". /sarcasm

It's probably been used in reference to a fart or something, but not politically. But hey man, you be you. #outrage

Quite a stretch to infer some kind of political agenda in a simple comment like that. But hey man, you be you. #butinsky

Btw, are you a Rankin county deputy sheriff, or a Brandon cop? If so, I sincerely apologize for hurting your feelings. /sarcasm

I ran lights for WSP in ‘90. I hitchhiked across the country as a Deadhead in the fall of ‘93. From what I’ve seen of Dead and Company, the answer is a unanimous NO. Grateful Dead > Widespread Panic > Dead and Company.

Idk why you got down voted. Snowflakes don't like it you criticize their precious government criticized. Mississippi wastes a tremendous amount of time and tax dollars to police a plant.

You biased for sure.

Grateful Dead > WSP with Mikey > Dead & CO with Mayer > JRad > Dead with Trey > Further > WSP without Mikey

Honest question... Have you ever considered changing your username?

ETA another question: When is the last time you've seen WSP? Have you had a chance to see them with Duane on the kit?

Nope, started that when Mikey was alive. First show was in 91 and many shows and tours afterwards. 96-97 were the bands best years. Never Forget those times.

Yes, last year at RR. Only had to leave twice in solos to go to bathroom.
I still enjoy rest of the band and JB's lyrics. I'll go this Sunday at RR, hoping for some covers jimmy is geat on non-Mikey tunes. Never miss a Sunday Show.

Weather is looking much better after 6...highs in the mid 70's. Let's get down to business.

Just curious as to how the first day of the show went? Living here in Brandon we have certainly seen an increased police presence. Been here five years and never seen this many cops out. Heard from a buddy that went to last nights show they were searching folks. Wondering if that was true? Hope the weather holds and everybody enjoys the second night of the show.

I personally didn’t see a single search nor did I even see anyone in cuffs. Actually thought it was a more reserved and respectful WSP crowd, comparatively.

Man, we got to Lot D about 5:30, tailgated until show time, and NEVER saw the first cop. It was a pretty chill scene.
As far as checking people, yes. Everyone who walks through the gate of the Brandon Ampitheater gets checked. No matter the show.

Even the Concert Hall here you have to go through metal detectors for most events. I assume if it's a concert, they think the liklihood of misbehavin' is more likely with the potential audience. If it's a Broadway play, they don't bother because it's predominantly blue-hairs. I've never seen anything out of place at any event there though. Concerts in the large arena are a different matter.

Most likely will start building an amphitheater here this fall. It's currently in the design/decision phase but since they're spending $4M on the design I'm sure it will be built. It'll be in the MidCity development next to Top Golf and Dave & Busters if anybody is familiar with that.

After all the talk about this show being overly policed, it was not at all. Everyone was pretty reserved on Friday and the show was solid.
Saturday way more people came and it was rowdy and a lot of fun. There were no incidents that I saw and that venue is very well run and nice.
I hope they do another run there soon. I had a awesome time.
I live In Texas and I met people from all over who traveled to Jackson Mississippi from all over the country to see this band.
Montana, Minnesota, Florida and everywhere in between.
They also played a lot of songs with Mississippi references etc and the crowd loved it. Mississippi loves some Panic

I saw security go after a couple folks in the pit on Friday. You're right that the pit area was much more crowded Saturday but still a lot of fun. I've previously mentioned that I'm not a fan of crowds but folks were pretty respectful of personal space, which was very nice.

Like you, I did not see any incidents on Saturday.

The shows didn't attract just people throughout the country-- there were folks from Japan at both shows.

Yeah I saw them shut down some cig smoking.
And I think I saw the folks from Japan at Martin’s late night.
That band after on Saturday, Icebox special or whatever, was really good. Weird but good
