Get outta here with your 1% privilege. UVA is a bunch of preppy coaches kids who get every call because they ride the refs jocks.
If UVA doesn't make a deep tournament run then I'm not sure they ever will. This the worst year of college basketball I can remember and their system gets exposed every March when talented teams don't let them dictate tempo and pace.
I would never, ever want Bennett to coach my team or have to sit through a season of watching UVA play, but its hard to knock his regular season results the last 3-4 years.

Bush league of UVA last minute of the game. I have a relative that is a UVA alum and even he was surprised Bennett let his guys act in a bush league manner.

Hey dude, I was actually complimenting you all. UVA has been great the last 3-4 years in the regular season. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't want to watch my team play the way UVA plays all year. I don't think its a realistic system to win in March but its been super successful and he seems like he runs a clean program because of the caliber of player his system requires.

I could see how some feel that way but I don't. I was always taught that when the other team concedes then you do the same. But as long as they are still pressing full length and trying to get turnovers and quick scores then it's ok for the opposing team to do the same.
To each his own opinion though. I means it's kinda like one team wanting to keep trying to score yet criticising the other team because they score. It's just a warped opinion i think.
Now had Louisville had it's back ups in and conceded then I think you have a point. Even if the starters was just ""playing it out" and that happened I could kinda understand. But in this circumstance I disagree.
Either way best of luck to you guys. I think Padgett is a pretty good guy. I also think Louisville is a tournament team. Those guys have top 10 talent iyam. Good luck moving forward.

So, sportsmanship to you includes two in your face dunks in the last 30 seconds of a game that you lead by 17 and the other team wasn't playing defense? That's BS and you know it. Jerome yelling slurs at the LOU bench at the end of the game was further evidence of the character of your team.
Do you consider pressing full court as conceding? I don't think so. If you feel as though it's over then back off and let the other team run the clock out.
It's been proven numerous times that when a team concedes the other backs off. It's not rocket science. If your team continues to play hard they should expect the other team to do the same. It goes both ways.
You seem to want ur cake and eat it too. You expect other team to call off the dogs while your team continues to press and try and get cheap baskets. It doesn't work that way.
As far as a Jerome yelling something at the bench I didn't see it. Not saying he didnt but I didn't see it. If he did and something was said deragatory then he was ABSOLUTELY wrong for that because it isn't needed.
As far as that showing the "character" of the Uva team ...please. That team and coach for that matter has as good of character guys as you will find in the country. Maybe you should ask around the rest of the conference and get a better idea to the type of "character" those guys have.
I respect Louisville's history. Great program with a great past . I'm sure they will be back as well. That said I'm sure it frustrating right now as a fan. Like I said you are a tournament team who deserves to be in.
One other thing to consider when speaking on what you say Jerome did after the game. I'm sure it didn't go unnoticed but UVa players the "whispers" of how bad UL players wanted to play them and get "revenge" from the last game. Not sure they would admit it but if that's the case maybe Jerome and those guys took that personal as well. MAYBE that's what he was reminding them of after the game. Again idk but even still I'd rather he hadn't ..IF that's the case.
No question UVA is a great team. This year they beat UL twice and UL beat themselves once when playing UVA. But, the plays and the verbal comments I (and Coach Padgett) found distasteful occurred in the last 30 seconds of today's game. If UL was still trying to win at that point they would have been fouling. Instead, somehow the "full court pressed" UVA managed to make two uncontested dunks in that half-minute. UL's defense isn't great, but even they could prevent two dunks in 30 seconds if they were actively defending. UL's year is pretty much over but they'll eventually be back. And, when they do keep in mind that what goes around comes around and Karma can be a *****.
Yeah they win and yeah we're their *****, but watching UVA play basketball is like watching two old people @#$#.
Eff Virginia. Eff their boring style and the faceless players it creates. And especially- Eff their newly smug fans. Looking forward to their annual underachieving “early” loss in the tournament.
Look it is never fun to be on the opposite side of loss, but if other teams want to run the score up on you then you either stop them or make them pay dearly with hard fouls. If a team allows that to happen why do fans get upset. At that point take a flagrant 1 or 2.

They do have Louisville's number since the Cards joined the ACC.
What’s funny is when we do it it’s just fine. It’s not the winning teams responsibility to stop scoring it’s the losing teams responsibility to stop them. Period!
Will more than likely do it to them in FB next year and I’m good with it.
