You do realize that Blackshear quit his team to go to another at the same level (div 1 college fb) whereas Wimsatt left to pursue an entirely different level, (HS to college). Different situations...

Oh. So it's like players skipping bowl games to get ready for the NFL?
Good thing nobody complains about that.

At least Blackshear was choosing to leave a bad team going nowhere where the coach was on his way out. Team was literally a dumpster fire.
Believe Wimsatt was undefeated when he quit on his HS team and leave them.

I don't care - just find the "scarlet blinders" funny.
Now start Gavin on Saturday!

All well and good, but how about we leave the Mr. Contrarian crap aside and just celebrate a Rutgers guy’s success in the NFL? Or do you hate everyone on this board so much that you’re incapable of doing that?

Oh those evil AAA baseball players who move up to the bigs when their team is headed to the minor league championship.

I didn't bring up Blackshear and derail the thread. Wasn't even the 2nd person to mention Blackshear.

Tagging the wrong person.
I'm not the one criticizing players for leaving their current team for a potentially better situation.

Nah, I never wear scarlet colored glasses...I just don't equate the two situations. Anyway, kids gonna do what kids gonna do and i dont like college players skipping bowl games but it's thier choice not mine.

Maybe true, but not the only time that you lecture folks and promote ageism on this board. 10 years from now I would be interested to see if your tone changes. God willing you get there!

Why don't you read the terrific article on ESPN.com about Wimsatt leaving his team. He spoke to his team before leaving, his head coach was fully supportive and no one was pissed off at him. Not the same as Blackshear (who I don't blame either).

You do know our potential starting QB literally quit on his HS team 3 games into the season, right?
He didn’t quit and go to another high school team he took a major move up and joined college early. No comparison to quitshear . You must know that.

Matt Millen is a wacko, but he was spot on regarding Pacheco. Always called him an NFL sleeper.
Yep schiano called it too early on. You could see Pacheco had something. Just never put it all together here because of bad OL but flashed talent.

Yeah, like many of us who were in a job and got promoted and moved on. Not even similar to what Blackshear did. I remember where I was when he pulled his stunt. Terrible. What the heck dude

I’m now a chiefs fan, as are most of the people in Vineland now

PS: Some really miserable people on here

There is a thing called "Wisconsin nice."
You never heard of "Jersey Nice."
"Jersey Strong" means you have to have goblins in threads

no it's not. Look, it benefited us but make no mistake, he had a comittment to that team and dumped them for something better. At the end of the day, that's exactly what happend. No need to call it something else.

it benefited us as I said however, don't dismiss what he did

I am curious about how good the Chiefs WR's will be without Hill. I am guessing they may need to rely more on the running game for a change.
