I know it's been discussed before and apologies if there's already been a thread but I think it deserves another - listening to the PA guy after a made bucket is absolutely brutal both in person and on tv.

Can someone in the AD have this guy stop what he's doing with the players names and after a three? Its cheesy as hell.

Thanks.

He's soooo corny. Sounds like he's announcing for 8 year olds. He has a good voice just needs to, uh, tone it down a little...

Somehow have to work Meatloaf's. " Two out of three ain't bad " into the PA system. That's if we could shoot that way.

Whoever played that awful broadway version of come on eileen should be fired immediately
Thought it sounded like "Come On Eileen" which btw is a REALLY bad choice for a sing along at a basketball game but that version was incomprehensible.

Most might have missed this but the DJ has played "It's Raining Men" over the PA in pregame for the last three games. Thoughts?

PA guy is fine... Or at least not any worse than most others. Ever hear Louisville's? He holds out his "For THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" like fifteen seconds into the opponent's possession.

It's the trend right now at many venue's. It too will pass. Hopefully for something better.

I think most fans are more concerned on what is happening on the court than what is said from the public announcer.

Great story, BUT if I didn't read rutgersfandan's post I would honestly say (as most everyone that has attended a game with me would agree) he is not very good. He is loud, hard to understand, verbose/long winded, and as others have said he is cheesy. So he is just like most PA announcers at most arenas. Unfortunately the typical/model for today's PA guys involves an attempt at being unique and entertaining.

I care about the game, much of the PA crap is just distracting.
