Best it’s been in years. I believe that’s Brock Turnipseed, our former SID for women’s basketball. No disrespect to the two guys who have done it since Hank Flick was forced out, but I hope our athletic department staff is paying attention. A lot more energetic and engaging than usual.

Was Flick really forced out? If so, why? I always thought he was awesome.

I hope you are not talking about Anthony Craven. If he is in fact gone and there is another one I will be really happy! That dude got on my nerves so bad saying “Victoria Viiiiiiiviannnnnssss” and he is doing the same annoying thing with Reggie Perry. The guy just tries so hard but is not that good.

He used to announce football and basketball, but everyone complained about his football announcing. So he got replaced and I think he decided to go ahead and retire.

Which sucks, because although his voice didn't work as well for football, he was amazing as a basketball announcer.

I still remember him chanting "Ro-bert Jack-son" every time RJ scored a bucket. Good times.

Let's just say that he was out of touch for a modern department and that's why he retired from Communications.

I agree on his fit for football PA. However I’ll always remember his voice at football games. I’d get to games so early, on occasion I’d hear him sign on. “.....and a good good afternoon to you, laddies and gentlemen. Welcome to the campus of Mississippi State University....”

Before the ribbon boards ......”....scores from around the nation...”

Great guy, unique voice.

Flick even made watching games on tv difficult.
