It didn’t age great. No doubt. But presented without context makes it look worse than it actually is. It was a relevant point at the time. It’s a point that your program has since eliminated. Kudos for that. But if you expect me to be embarrassed or regretful of that comment, then either I’m too stubborn or you’re trying way too hard.
The thing that had been so 17d up about what most Landshark baseball fans (not sure about you) were saying was the regular trips to Omaha were not noteworthy accomplishments since we could never seem to win it all. Thankfully, those idiots can no longer say that.
Now its (*) an askerisk beside the natty because they think NC ST would have beaten us in the finals.

Bro, not one person I spoke to in Omaha, who was unaffiliated even mentioned this ********. Everyone knows vandy was the giant and we slayed them. They were truly the second best team, though they should’ve had to burn extre pitching to get there but oh well.
The first person who congratulated me on the win was a rebel and he did so in the 4th innninig. I told him to hold up and he said no, they are done y’all have this.

I can assure everyone that those NC in football they claim are bogus and deserves the (*). How can you have 7 different national champions. If it was not AP or UPI they do not count. However there is only one 2021 NC baseball team. You can't (*) that.
Still apples and oranges. Ole Miss got a free shot to the finals. In the CWS Vandy got a free shot to the finals. State played every game and earned their spot.
Ole Miss claims they can’t breath without the NCAA putting them on probation so why do they think the NCAA is going to let them put an asterisk beside the collegiate baseball national champions of the United States of America (sorry, still celebrating the 4th).

I said a while back if Mississippi State won the CWS, it wouldn't be some backdoor ****... It would be by blowing the front door off a fallout shelter with a missile.
In less than 3 weeks we effectively won 3, three game series against top 5 RPI teams. I doubt any team in CWS history has done that.

The best thing the Rebel/bears can do is to just sit quietly on the sidelines for a couple of weeks while we enjoy this. They can get back to their old ways soon enough. Anything that they say right now other than just a simple congratulations looks desperate and petty. I know that they are just really hating this, but sometimes in life you just have to know when to keep your mouth shut for awhile. This Championship is not about them, it is about us and they have no place in the conversation.

You were, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the best team in the country when it mattered most. What makes it even more impressive is you did with really only one good starter in the postseason. Lemonis constantly pulled the right lever and pushed the right buttons with the bullpen. Anyone who says it deserves an asterisk is either trying to get a ride out of you, or a dumbass. Most are just trying to aggravate you.
The development of your hitters and lineup is what was most impressive. At the midpoint of season, your lineup was far from intimidating. By the end of the year, they were completely locked in. They used the entire field and were absolute hell with 2 strikes. I need someone to hire Gatreau away from you, yesterday.
I don’t think any team has ever won a championship without a break somewhere along the way. I think you got yours in game 1 against ND, when the crowd got to them and they made several costly errors. Which was very uncharacteristic. From that day on, you kicked the **** out of everyone any time your backs were against the wall.
Don’t allow anyone to get under your skin with the asterisk talk. That’s all they’re trying to do. We know you won it straight up, it’s just a coping mechanism.

I was literally telling the other poster that I wouldn’t worry about Ole Miss fans saying the asterisk stuff. Hell I was defending MSU. But I know reading comprehension can be hard for some.
If NC State had not been sent home, we would have won it in 2 games. NC State, especially a depleted NC State, would not have beaten Leiter. What that game WOULD have done was knock Leiter out of the championship round. We would probably have thrown Hootie in the first game and would have had an even less-rested Rocker in the second and we saw what happened to him with just 1 day's less rest.
Since we're kinda piling it on oxfordreb (although he's a good poster), my friend shared this about a month ago. I've never seen anything age so quickly.

I don’t feel as if you’re piling on, at all. Nothing has been said to me that wasn’t deserved, and nothing has been pointed out that I said that I would do over, if given the opportunity. There’s the same 2-3 predictable losers in the thread who clearly have some Ole Miss issues, but that’s to be expected. Most of you aren’t surprised by that, either.
If I ever do feel that I’m being piled on, I’ll realize I deserve it. I know where I am, after all. But the reason I’m here, anyways, is because of posters like you who realize that this isn’t really that serious.
