Explain better. Playing hard and connected shouldn't be the highlight of a 15th season. They were so connected they lost 5 of their last 7? I thought the record is the standard reply with you, now it's the eyeball test results be damned? Goober.
It's been suggested that Iowa's players and coach quit last season.
I'm telling you it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for the team to have played as hard and connected as they did to close the season had they already quit.
The game is too hard. It requires too many multiple efforts. It's too much of a team game on a functional and interpersonal level. It requires too much unselfishness, trust, choreography, togetherness, collective fight and enthusiasm, to quit and not play like a team that has quit.
There's really nothing else to explain.
Just another crap fan narrative in attempts to justify the fact that they not only quit on, but never gave last year's team a chance
