My Cougs are struggling this year but think we will also beat Owen.
Hope you are right, but after seeing the rosman score not confident.
Neither team is any good but had Owen won a game this year I would pick Owen. Hardest accomplishment for a team is to get that first win. Neither team can go into the game with that much confidence anyway.
Not really sure how to call the MH - Owen game. The only team both has played is Chase ..MH lost 42-0 and Owen 57 -15 which suggest Owen maybe a little better offense and MH a little better D but 3 of Chase's TDs against Owen came on special teams two punt returners and a kickoff return.
I agree MH not beating Rosman anymore than they did is a concern but they played Robbinsville a little better than I thought they would, I know 28-6 isn't that close but I expected a larger margin. I believe watching Owen if the QB is accurate they have a couple of receivers that could give MH a hard time.

From the Draughn thread, when has Mitchell kicked an on side kick unless they were down? Mitchell has had a run of good kickers. Not saying they didn’t but I don’t recall.
Man I am glad ol 98 knows more about what happened than those of us that actually went to the game. I will give the qb credit he did have 1 big run in the first half. Most of the other yards was in second half. While not against all subs but there might have been 5 plays total that Mitchell had all starters on the field. He can sling it for sure.
I will admit I didn’t understand the 2 pt conversation.
Oh well moving on.
If the qb and WR’s are underclassmen they will put up big numbers next yr.

They did it at Mitchell last time we played there. I was standing there with Mountie and questioned why he would do that. It will come back to him one day

Well we are pretty used to losing and we have a ways to go but its nice to see the boys play together and play hard for each other and the coaches. I have been on these boards (carolinapreps and others back in the day) for 10 or 15 years at least and never have much to brag about
