49 to 26 final. Owen scores late on sophomores and acted like they won the game. Those onside kicks down that much with two minutes to go was real classy.
Yeah that was the longest quarter of my life. The Owen QB spiked the ball like he just won the game scoring on the sophomores. Twice it could have just been over the on-sides kick then Mitchell back up fumbles the ball. Oh and the refs they need to go back to ref school they were terrible didn't know where to mark the ball after penalty which they loved calling except when one needs calling.

We’ve had some decent refs so far, but this crew was lost and confused all night.
Great way to put it lost and confused. And as far as one score Owen had one backups it was because of a long pass and how they missed the Owen receiver pushing the Mitchell defender I'll never know.

Well big game next week could be a tough one. Hope Ty ankle held up good tonight not 100% obviously but looked more like himself with a couple runs one for a TD is wasn't the play called but came open but looked he was laughing on the sideline after the run and I hope G Young is okay and leaving him out of the second half was just a precaution.

I really don’t get the uproar and classy comments. I have watched Pittman up big kick onside kicks against us in the past and he went for 2 in the 4th in this game after a TD. It’s the other teams job to stop the other team. It’s not Owen’s job to lay down because Pittman pulls some of his starters. Owen’s coaches would be wrong to expect the kids to quit and wrong to quit themselves. I’ve never seen a group that

My complaint wasn't the kids keeping playing hard but just how long the last quarter to took it was just a strange quarter partly because Mitchell didn't get the on-sides kick that continued it then fumbled the ball and that continued it and partly because of the refs not in favoritism they made some bad calls on both sides and their indecision them standing and discussing a penalty for ever and where to put the ball once marking it off on one team then realized it was on the other at least that what it looked like so they prolonged it but no all that not on Owen.

I agree and there is some talent QB is a good athlete a little inconsistent on some passes more accurate when he's got time in pocket and he has two tall good receivers #17 and especially #9 you put the ball near him and he'll catch it plus #2 is a good runner.
I’ve seen teams do this through the years. Before Joey I thought MH would underperform and the same goes for Mitchell before Travise. Got to give kids stability and let them have fun. The spiking of the ball was funny but felt more like he was just relieved than was happy. Never know what goes through a kid’s mind.
Yeah I agree I didn't mean it as a bad shot on the kid just kinda funny I'm sure it had been a frustrating night and so far season for him. And right sometimes it just takes the right coach and chemistry.
Knew that was what you thought. Kid was like relieved he found the end zone. Game was over by halftime so not surprised that Owen scored like 20 points in 4th qtr. Still think Mitchell is better than Draughn.
The talent is absolutely there. #9 is the kid I referred to being a top 3 or 4 player in the WHC. Confidence is an issue and learning a new system is part of that. Although the scores wouldn’t show it we should have beaten both Albemarle and North Henderson. Mitchell, Draughn and Chase were all better. Now that I have seen what West Henderson is doing I don’t believe we will beat them. So the other 4 Madison, Rosman, Avery and Heritage SHOULD be wins but who knows. I heard the refs were horrible on both sides. Exact quote worst officiating crew they have ever seen
West Henderson is legit. Look for them to be M7 champs.
