No, I just see it differently then you, apparently. That’s all. I see how you view it now. I’m definitely glad I don’t see it your way. GBR.
Because predicting a three win improvement over last year makes me such a bad fan! You're delusional.

A win is a win is a win. You can take your moral victories and hope for the following year, but I pay attention to the scoreboard.
I think he's basically saying what Frost and his team are saying. Prove it on the field first. Earn it. Pre season hype is nice but it means nothing. It's cliche but Frost means what he says. Day by day. Just get better. One day at a time. One game at a time. The wins will come. GBR
DJ isn't really a loss on the OL, we should easily be able to replace him. Getting quality play out of the C position will be huge as we all saw what happened when we didn't have that. You're thinking with your heart and not with your head. Essentially JD is our only returning playmaker at WR and he is injury-prone.
40% of our starting OL will be made up of relatively inexperienced players.
Ferguson, Honas, and Domann all can be good players but have missed time with injuries and haven't quite lived up to their potential. Tannor wasn't ready to contribute last year and might not be this year.
Using a PFF grade for a player with limited playing time that couldn't beat out some very mediocre Safeties is some quality optimism, but you shouldn't put much stock in it. Dismuke had high expectations and has not been able to live up to any of them.

Ferguson has already shown he's a good player. Honas, Domann, and Miller have shown they can be good players. I'm sure someone out of this group will really step up this year. I agree with you that Tannor wasn't ready last year and might not be this year.
Deontai is going to be a really good safety. I have no idea why he didn't get more playing time last year, but every time he did play he showed he was a playmaker. I think Dismuke will do fine if he's the starter, but we also have some really talented younger safeties that could potentially steal that spot from Dismuke.
I do agree with you going 9-3 or 10-2 is a bit of a stretch, but I think 8-4 is perfectly reasonable.

I do have to ask, why aren’t you giving Kanawai Noa his credit? Dudes done alot
All that I agree with. Caleb Tannor got thrown into the fire early and you can tell he’s a very talented OLB that will be a good in the future, he just wasn’t ready last year. There’s a reason the Georgia Bulldogs and the other SEC teams wanted him. He’s got the best potential for pass rushing skill INTs of all the LBs
. Deontai Williams was our best Safety last year but he was only a sophomore that just got there in fall from the JUCO ranks. He doesn’t get the highest rating in PFF because he’s a slouch. Dude played a decent amount of reps, but not enough. He’s going to kill this year.
And I’m fully on board with the 8-4 to 9-3 prediction. That’s been my guess all summer long. We have a young very talented team and I’m definitely excited for the future. GBR
What has Noa done? Nobody on here had even heard of him before the transfer. Has he done anything to stand out since he became a Husker? Does he have elite athleticism? He's probably a good addition, but I don't think he'll be as productive as Stan.
Williams could have a really good season and he has the athletic ability to be a difference maker, but I would feel better if we had another quality safety opposite of him. Let's be honest, Dismukes biggest play last year was the penalty that negated an interception (forgot which game).
Just think you've had just a little too much Kool aid bro.

Are you serious with that?? So, because YOU (yourself) never heard of the man that means none of us have? I have to completely disagree there. Way off. And I believe im fine, I’m actually matching up with most people on this board.
Noa started 2 years for Cal, and yes he has very good athleticism...
He is a great addition and neither you or I will know how productive he is till the season is completed, but he will be a factor in this offense with plenty of other contributors..
Kanawai Noa had 86 rc 1157 yards and 6 TDs his sophomore and junior year before he got hurt. 56 rc 788 yards of that was his sophomore year. Before he got hurt his junior year he was considered one of the top PAC 12 WRs. Dudes legit and every bit as good as most BIG 10 WRs. Like one guy said, he will more then play and put up some nice stats this year. They are saying he’s already got all three WR positions down. He will easily take over for JD Speilman, while JD takes over Stan Morgan Jr spot. There...now you know a little about Noa![]()
Good too see some written material not claiming us as the B1G West Champs..
A little more motivation coming off a back to back 4-8 seasons is what this team could use..
Note: DiNardo has to make his yearly bus tour visit here in a couple of weeks let’s see what he says after his visit.. Good bulletin board material for fall camp..
So your assumption is that a guy who racked up ~1200 yards combined over two seasons will fill Stan's shoes? I think we needed help at WR, but I just don't see the guy being as good as Stan.
When have we not been overrated? Under Bo we basically lost every top 25 game and beat up on sun belt teams, Riley was a bust as all three years could be viewed as disappointments or cataclysm and last year was a train wreck. Wisky and Ohio State were weaker than usual and we lost to Troy and Colorado...I don't know enough about college football to know how easy it is for a power 5 team to go from 4 wins to 10 but I imagine we'll have some more bumps and feel good with 8.

I can appreciate your desire to play the contrarian. There are a lot of reasons to be skeptical.
But safety should not be one of them. Dismuke is now up to 210. The kid didnt lift his first two years in Lincoln after arriving at 175. He was too skinny and too "Calabassas influenced" to play consistently despite flashing athleticism.
And no position group on the team is going to benefit more from their position coach than the Secondary. That unit has now had 20 months with Fisher, including two full springs. Prior to his arrival, the Secondary Coach at Nebraska was never in place longer than a year.
The Huskers are going to have two safeties in the 6'2 205+ range, who are both 21 or older, and were both former Rivals250, ESPN300, 4 Star talents.
99% of all D1 WRs have very good athleticism. I asked if he was elite.
I agree that we won't know until the season begins, but I just find it very hard to believe that we'll pick up where we left off (or improve) at WR. Stan is gone, JD has an injury history, and the other WR that were brought in the prior year (Hunt, Williams, Woodyard) didn't appear to be anything special. They could turn out to be decent this year, but decent isn't going to replace Stan or take over if JD gets hurt.
Stanley Morgan didn’t have elite athleticism and he was the all time receiver in yards for a career..
Contradicting yourself here now..
Check out Stan's numbers at the combine, they were pretty damn good. Low 4.5 40yd, 6.78 three cone, 38.5 vert, 125 broad jump. I seriously doubt Noa has that sort of athleticism.
