I've been watching quite a bit of these lower conference tournaments.

Murray vs Belmont would be a pretty good final. I'm going to the UK game Saturday but hopefully I'll be back home before that one begins.
The A-sun with Lipscomb vs Liberty should be good too.

And the MAAC.........good lord......one team won at 12-6.....then u had four teams at 11-7 and one at 10-8. And not surprisingly, all the games last night were close.

Watching a bit of Tubby Smith's High Point team lol. And had no idea Lorenzo Romar was even at Pepperdine lol

Also watched Steve Masiello's Manhattan team win

Love this time of the year

A story about Ray Harper and Murray State...

In 2003, Harper was set to take the Murray State job...and then Murray gets a call from Rick Pitino. Pitino told them to hire Mick Cronin and he'd schedule them...and that Cronin was the guy for the job.

Harper stayed at KWC and his track keeps getting messed up and Mick has a great job at Cincy. Harper used to whip Bruce Pearl in their D2 days. Great coach.

Really pulling for Murray. Everything I've seen says they don't get in if they don't win the conference tourney, which is a shame. Here's hoping they get it done.

Belmont has more quad 1 wins than Clemson or Nevada, and the same number as Auburn and Buffalo. Only thing dragging them down is getting swept by Jacksonville.

They probably won’t make the tournament without beat Murray St., but it will be a shame. You know how strong they are in my model.

Wofford, Belmont and Murray should all get in, reward teams for amazing seasons.

Wish it had worked out for him at WKU. Not sure why it didn't, other than all the off-the-court issues.
Yea there were several off court issues that got him , maybe he thought he was in Kansas and could sweep it all under the “Rug”

Belmont/Murray St. final. Jacksonville St. would have been a nasty 14 or 15 seed for somebody. Glad they are out.

Belmont deserves an at large if they lose to Murray they beat them handily in the reg season

I agree, but what probably keeps them out is 3 quad 3 losses.

Here’s why it’s so screwed up, though. One of those is at Green Bay on Dec. 1st. Teams can lose road games, and does anyone really care what they did 3 months ago?

Then they got swept by Jacksonville St. Anyone who watched tonight can see that Jacksonville St. is better than a Quad 3 team. Maybe they will get a boost from playing Murray close tonight.

But no, teams like Belmont have to be almost perfect to get in the tourney. Belmont even went and won at UCLA, which would be quite a feat most years. Just not this year.

Belmont gets in as an at large if necessary.

I would hope so but not sure on this one. That Green Bay loss and home loss to Jax State are killers. Just win 1 of those 2 and I think they would been at large.

Currently #41 in NET will go down a little if they lose tonight.

With a loss they would be likely 2-2 vs quad 1 and 3-1 vs quad 2 but an astounding 17 of their 25 wins would have come from quad 4.

Also despite having 5 quad 1/2 wins they have 0 wins vs at large quality teams and only 2 vs a long shot bubble team (Lipscomb).

That is where I get hung up on with 0 at large quality wins will the committee count those 2 quad 2 wins and being the same as wins vs at large quality teams ?

Would love to see both Belmont and Murray State in the dance over a 16 loss Texas team or a 15 loss Indiana but those teams have big time wins.

Certainly over a 352 Non conf SOS NC State team.
