Loved watching him play in the 90's against Colorado and Oklahoma. One of my favorite college backs. Thought he turned pro too early. Where would you guys rank him?

I thought he was good at the time but nowhere near Phillips and Ahman Green as a college running back.

A very good player but still a fringe Top 10 RB.
Rozier, Phillips, Green, Abdullah, Dubose, Craig, D Brown, Redwine, Hipp, Burkhead, Berns,Kinney, Reynolds, Clark, Helu, K Jones. Find a hard time putting in the Top 10 ahead many of these names.

My top five would be Phillips, Green, Helu, Rozier and Redwine.

I liked Derek Brown at the time too but thought Jones overtook him.

Jones had to leave.....LP was about to take all his snaps his senior year. He made the right call.
He was also 23 at the end of the 1993 season, so he needed to get that NFL pay clock started before he got too run down.

Calvin Jones was awesome and could have been one of the greats. He had size, deceptive speed and great vision. But then he got injured. He returned and still did pretty well, but he was never back in top form.

Jarvis Redwine and Jeff Smith are two more that had unfortunate injuries or else who knows...

You want to talk about what if"s? Doug Dubose would be close to topping this list if his "misfortunes" didn't happen. Still makes my Top 5.

I loved Dubose. He was smooth. But he didn't have the power or speed of Phillips and Green.
